Welcome (back) to The Fern Pod! We are looking forward to having you! We are only 3hrs from the GWB. We offer all of the amenities you are used to from home; hot water, flushing toilet, WIFI, shower, and we even offer level 2 EV fast charging. Enjoy this cozy and romantic getaway tucked away between tall trees and surrounded by ferns on 4 private acres. Get away from the busy city life and watch the world go by through the enormous bed side window, or star gaze just before you fall asleep. The space The Fern Pod is located on 4 acres and surrounded by trees, wild flowers, and much more. The last half mile to the property is on an unpaved road, but don't worry, you don't need any special vehicle to get there. The sleeping area consists of a queen size mattress next to a giant picture window, and a mounted TV. We have a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with a large fridge/freezer, a two burner induction cook top, a toaster, and a stainless steel sink. Our coffee bar offers you the perfect start into the day. Furthermore, we provide you with all types of utensils and cookware, in addition to essentials such as oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Lastly, your bathroom is outfitted with a standing shower, sink, and a flushing toilet. You will be provided with complimentary mini toiletries during your stay. If you have any questions about the area, need suggestions, or help in any form, you can always message us! ***Please note that we have decided to turn off "Instant Booking" and instead switched to the "Request a Booking" option. That being said, we generally respond very quickly (1-2hrs on average depending on time of day, but no later than 24hrs). We prioritize guests who have at least one positive review. However, if you have no reviews yet, you are still welcome to request a booking as we accept them on a case by case basis. Guest access You have access to the entire property and home! Nothing is shared. Other things to note - The WIFI speed fluctuates depending on the time of day. It’s usually faster during the day than late at night. I never saw it go below 25mbps or above 200mbps (download) and between 5 and 50 mbps upload. That's more than enough to stream movies, watch YouTube, do video calls or send emails. - We offer free EV fast charging. Please make sure you bring your car's specific charger. We ONLY provide the 4-prong Nema 14-50 plug with 240V/50A, not the charger itself since they differ based on car brand. - Please note, phone service on the property is very limited. - Every stay comes with a complimentary bundle of firewood. Additional bundles can be purchased on the property. - We provide complimentary Netflix, but other streaming services are available on the smart TV. You will have to use your own account to log into those. - We have a little store inside the home where we display handmade items that are made by your hosts. - There is a security camera facing the driveway and wood racks only.
