Welcome to our favorite place to re-connect. Saluda is a mountain oasis with something for everyone-biking, hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, zip lines, and of course relaxing. Walk your pups around the lake and refresh in the hot tub. House is an A-frame with a king loft suite. Wake up and watch the sun rise over the little community lake. The main floor features a sitting area, dining area, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. On the ground level you will find the theater room and twin room. Each room has been designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. The upper loft king suite is spacious and has fantastic views, but still feels cozy when you want to sleep in late. The upper living room is perfect for reading a book while feeling like you’re up in the trees. The kitchen is well equipped and convenient to the deck. If you want to have a movie night just head down to the basement (bring your passwords for the smart TV) and use the popcorn machine. Grill dinner on the main level deck while your family hangs out on the outdoor couch. Or head down to the terrace and enjoy the hot tub and fire pit. The lower covered porch is the prefect spot to swing in the evening breeze. The basement also has a spacious entry room with space for your gear. Full sized washer and dryer in the basement laundry room. Fireplaces are non-functional. Do not use fireplace. No gas, wood, fuel logs, nothing. Bring your passwords to easily stream your favorite shows. No parties. Lake Hosea is a very quiet, peaceful area. Voices outside travel. Please be respectful of neighbors and resepect quiet hours from 10pm-7am. I’m always available via AirBnB messenger, text, or phone call and will get right back to you with any questions or needs. Lake Hosea is a private lake community. The gravel road around the lake is one way and very quiet. This area is beloved by full-timers and first-timers. I recommend stocking up before you get to Saluda. Historic Thompson’s Store on Main St has essentials with limited hours. The closest big grocery is Ingles 25 minutes away in Hendersonville. Car is required. Ample driveway parking for 4 cars. Please be aware—the small community that makes up Lake Hosea is in the process of rebuilding the dam. The lake is about half of it’s normal water level. Our house is on the marsh end. The dock is above wildflowers and grasses at this point. To swim in the lake you just have to walk down the lake to use any dock that’s on water. It is still beautiful and relaxing. Our kids have still been enjoying the water. You can walk around the entire “lake” and see where the Pacolet feeds in and has created a new marsh system.
