Welcome to a piece of history in Spokane Valley, The Crosby Cottage! This modern-style cottage sleeps 4 and is long-rumored to have originally been built by Bing Crosby for his parents in 1939. Fully remodeled in 2023 with thoughtful upgrades and decor. Walkable to a city park and bus system, with easy I-90 access to airport, downtown Spokane, CDA, mountains, lakes, and shopping. Full of natural light throughout, with blackout shades for comfort in sleeping areas. Casper mattress in the bedroom, comfortable, modern style sleeper sofa in the living room, both beds outfitted with scent-free bedding. Brand new washer/dryer added June 2025. Dual hand held shower head in the bathroom, quartz countertops and backsplash in the kitchen. Quaint, well-lit outdoor area with solar lights, string lights, sconces, and a small bistro table for 2. Coded fence gate lock and electronic front door deadbolt. Welcome to The Crosby Cottage, your home away from home! **Please note: Unfortunately, our beautiful courtyard tree died and had to be cut down, and the current outdoor photos don't reflect the change. We're sad to see our tree go, but happy we can still provide a beautiful, peaceful courtyard for your stay!** Guest access You will have access to the entire cottage, which is a stand alone home with a fully fenced front courtyard. The property behind the cottage is private and is leased by a construction company, and it's possible you will see their equipment and signs, etc when you pull into your driveway. It's also possible that you may briefly see or hear a vehicle come and/or go during your stay. Good energy abounds on this property, and you'll be sure to feel refreshed and at home! Other things to note Guests with young children should be aware that the only heat sources are baseboard and in-wall heaters that may become hot to the touch. Please keep your children from touching them. For health reasons, we do not allow pets. There are many other rentals in the area that welcome pets, and we will happily refer them to you if you're traveling with a pet and need recommendations. If you're caught with a pet in our cottage, you will be charged an extra $130 per day. Our pipes are old--Bing Crosby old! Please don't flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet.
