Waldamar, a luxury houseboat on 2 floors, situated on the banks of the River Orwell in the picturesque hamlet of Pin Mill. This is a whole boat rental. 5 bedrooms all en suite, a snug, a large saloon and a wonderful kitchen dining area, 2800 square feet in total. Outside- a deck with an outdoor kitchen and seating for 10 with the river in front, Pin mill woods behind and a great pub restaurant only 200m along a woodland path and is only suitable for able bodied people. The space This is perfect for large families/groups of friends looking to spend a few relaxing days away. No single sex groups . There is a large open plan kitchen /diner leading through to the saloon, which has big comfy sofas where one may sit and watch the activity on the river. Our cabins have been individually designed and all have en-suites. The bed linen in each room is Egyptian cotton from The White Company or John Lewis. The sanitary ware in the bathrooms is for the most part, Villeroy Boch. A stunning garden deck with bbq, & pizza oven and seating for 10 completes the setting for a perfect getaway. Guest access Access to to Waldamar is via a 200m woodland path . Parking is in the residents car park in Pin Mill Lane. If it is high tide upon your arrival the best access to us is by parking in the Pin Mill car park, take the upper path and descend the steps which are opposite Waldamar or squeeze behind the outbuildings at the rear of the Butt & Oyster car park. Both of these options are only possible for able bodied persons. Quite an adventure!! We greet our guests and answer any questions regarding boat life. You will be given our contact telephone number in case needed.. May we recommend that if guests would like to dine at The Butt &Oyster Pub, they make a reservation, as it is always busy! We will offer any information we can to ensure you make the most of your stay. As this is our home with good quality furnishings, we require a £250 security deposit which is fully refundable. Other things to note Well behaved children and dogs are welcome! We ask pet owners to keep their dogs off the furniture and beds. As there are so many fantastic walks along the riverside straight from the boat, dogs (and children!) can get very muddy! We ask you to clean them off before coming on board. We have an outside tap with hose and a bucket on the deck and a chest full of old towels in the boot room, which is just inside the front door. This is a beautiful, serene retreat for extended families and friends alike . It is also a residential area so we ask that guests respect our location and that no music is played outside. If one sits on the deck in the evening the only sound to be heard should be the Oyster Catchers and the occasional Owl!
