Paddler's Rest

The Paddler's Rest is a relaxing guest house on Kings Creek in Mathews County with direct access to the water and a private porch. Very secluded but close to town for restaurants etc. Guests have free use of a canoe and 2 kayaks. Great area for biking--all roads lead to the water and Mathews County is perfectly flat! Self check- in. The space The guest house (completely separate with private porch and entrance) is attached to a newly renovated 1860's farmhouse. The 7 acre property includes a wooded trail, wrap-around waterfront with spectacular sunset views and a dock for launching the canoe and kayaks. Indoor amenities include a refrigerator, microwave, keurig, smart TV, wi-fi, privately controlled minisplit for setting desired heat/ac temp. Perfect retreat for dogs! The house is down a quiet country lane where almost no cars pass. Great for playing ball on the lawn or fetching sticks from the water! Guest access Guests have access to a canoe and 2 kayaks to launch from a private pier. Other things to note Pets are welcome. Paddler's Rest is a paradise for dogs.
