Unwind and enjoy the peace of staying on a working farm. This apartment is a renovated workshop apartment filled with the comfort of home and finished with vintage details from the original owners. You may visit with the farm’s miniature goats and donkeys (and mini-bull) or sit outside and look at the stars and listen to the night time noises. No cleaning fee! Inside parking for motorcycles. Guest parties with more than 6 adults will be charged $25 per adult per night. The space This little home away from home boasts two bedrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) as well as a large sitting area in open concept** and bathroom with tub/shower. A dining table along with a mini-fridge, toaster oven, microwave, BBQ grill will allow you to prepare your own meals or heat up take-out as you wish. (*Please note that there is not a kitchen or kitchen sink in the unit.)* A small selection of board games and reading materials are available. In addition, outdoor seating and a hand-made brick fire pit will help you enjoy the beautiful sunsets. According to a previous guest, it would be wheelchair accessible! **Please note that open concept in this apartment means there are no bedroom doors and that the downstairs bedroom is open to the main living area. The bathroom does have a door. There is only a banister one side of the stairs; the other side is open to the downstairs on about the bottom half of the staircase. **Due to construction costs and location, plus likelihood of frozen pipes, we are unable to install a kitchen sink. Guest access All of the rental is reserved for guests, as well as most of the yard. The owners' homes are next door and down the hill, so there are parts of the yard that are shared. Guests are welcome to take a walk to the pasture to see the livestock, but for safety reasons, are asked not to cross fences. Other things to note The Holler is set in an ideal location 3 miles from Palmyra, MO, 10 from Hannibal's historic Mark Twain district, and 15 from Quincy, IL. Also nearby is the Mark Twain Lake, Wakonda State Park and, for health and safety, Hannibal Regional Hospital. We offer a military/first responder—with ID— discount of 10% and also offer a 10% discount for stays that are 4 or more nights.
