This quaint cottage in the beautiful village of Alderton has been refurbished to a high standard, an open plan living area including a kitchen/diner leading into a living space .Off the hallway is a downstairs WC. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with king size bed, the second with twin beds and a family bathroom. The outside space offers a small pretty area to relax, read, eat, & drink wine. This idyllic village has everything on offer, a village shop, pub & play park in stunning setting. The space We have renovated the cottage to a high standard consisting of: Ground floor Kitchen/diner Brand new kitchen which is fully equipped with a hob, oven, microwave, airfryer, fridge / freezer,dishwasher and washer/dryer. You will find the kitchen fully equipped for most meal preparation. If you are missing something please ask. We provide teabags, coffee, sugar for your use along with fresh milk and bread, butter and condiments. Please note we have a cafetière not a coffee machine. Tea towels, dishcloths and kitchen roll are supplied, as well as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets. There is a selection of cleaning products in cupboard above the oven. There will be a welcome pack as a gift from us on your arrival and a welcome book with information you may need during your stay.If you require any information re shopping,restaurants etc please do contact me. Living Space Three seater sofa and chair for cosy nights in with a smart tv with Netflix, Apple tv and Amazon Prime (for account holders only) WIFI details are in the welcome book. Handy ground floor cloakroom and WC. In the hallway are coat hooks for hanging your coats and under the stairs is a cupboard with a shoe rack for your shoes ,walking boots and there are some doggie towels for those wet walks. First Floor Master bedroom Has a kingsize bed with a top quality memory mattress for extra comfort during your stay. Duvet and pillows are hypoallergenic. There is a blanket on the bed for those chilly nights. There are bedside tables ,chest of drawers and hanging space for your clothes,full length mirror plus a hairdryer and a hot water bottle, in the chest of drawers. There is a fan in the bedroom. Second bedroom Has twin beds, also with top quality memory mattresses. Duvet and pillows are hypoallergenic. There are blankets on the bed for those chilly nights. There is a bedside table ,chest of drawers with a mirror and hanging space for your clothes. We have a travel cot available for our younger guests. Please request this at time of booking as it is not stored at the cottage. We can set the travel cot up in either bedroom on request. Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot. We will put a fan in the twin bedroom. Family bathroom Bath with a shower with soft fluffy towels. Toilet and basin. There is also shower gel ,shampoo and conditioner for your use. Toilet rolls will be provided. There is a shower mat in the airing cupboard on the landing. In the airing cupboard at the top of the stairs is an iron and ironing board for your use and a clothes drying rack for any damp clothes or towels. There are spare lightbulbs/tea towels/hand towels in the cupboard too. The living room and bedrooms have doors which can be securely closed. Outside We have a small courtyard area ,dog secure with a bistro set that has three chairs - 1 chair folded up in the courtyard and the cushions will be in the cupboard under the stairs. There is a welly stand for those muddy boots and a water bowl in the garden for our four legged guests after their walk. We have some plant pots in garden,if you are here for a longer stay if you could water them that would be great-the watering can is behind the bins. Thankyou ! If you are staying over the Christmas period we will be decorating the cottage unless you let us know otherwise. Please no smoking or vaping in our cottage. Please no parties either. No stag or hen parties. No charging of electric cars is available. We do understand that breakages happen. Please let us know so we can repair/replace before our next guests. Guest access You will have sole use of the whole cottage . Early arrival and late check-out are not guaranteed and are subject to availability but we will always try our best to accommodate this. Please ask if you require early arrival or later check out. If you are arriving after dark please let me know and I will put the lights on for you. There is one car parking space directly outside the cottage. Please park as close to the cottage as possible. If you are bringing more than one car you are more than welcome to park on the quiet lane ( only 20 second walk from cottage ). Please park with consideration to other road users and customers wanting to use the village shop. Please don’t park the second car outside the village shop. You can park further on past the cottage on the lane. Please note there are no street lights in our village. There is a small torch in the sideboard in the cottage if needed. Other things to note Dogs are very welcome in our cottage . We will accept two well behaved dogs as guests. There will be an extra cost so please enquire at time of booking. If you have three small four legged members in your family please do message me. We have a small gravelled courtyard garden which is dog secure and we have lovely walks and countryside right on our door step. There are doggy towels for those wet walks in the cupboard under the stairs and extra poo bags if you have forgotten these. There is a water bowl outside too. There will be little treats left for your dog to enjoy if they are allowed ! If your dog likes to snuggle up on the sofa with you, please put a cover down first, please bring a throw with you. Please no dogs on beds. The Gardeners Arms,the village pub,is very dog friendly and literally 5 minutes from our cottage. Our four legged guests have their own menu at the pub which includes a doggie Sunday roast ! If you happen to be staying on a bin day we would be most grateful if you could put the bins out the night before if it’s possible. I will let you know which bin needs to go out during your stay. Access to property via a key box, we are in the village so on hand if any issues etc. The cottage is also the perfect base to explore all the Cotswolds has to offer. Perfect for keen walkers and cyclists…with the stunning hills providing the occasional fitness challenge! A fantastic base to explore many famous Cotswold Villages, walk stretches of the Cotswold Way, towns & landmarks of Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire & Worcestershire. We are 25 minutes from Watersedge ,which is a stunning lake where you can swim ,paddle board, kayak etc There are also many National Trust properties and gardens, which include Snowshill Manor, Hidcote Manor Gardens and Chedworth Roman Villas. Broadway is just 12 minutes away with its traditional High Street with an eclectic mix of antique dealers, independent boutiques, cafes, restaurants and adventure playground. We have the new Cotswold Designer Outlet with 50 shops,cafes, and restaurants just ten minutes down the road. The larger town of Cheltenham hosts, the Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival in March annually, along with Jazz and Literature Festival and many independent specialist stores with all major high street brands. Other attractions include; The Farmer’s Dog pub - 40 mins away The Bugatti Hill Climb at Prescott is only 3 miles away. Daylesford Organic Farm shop -30 mins GWR Steam Railway at Toddington (Now running between Broadway and Prestbury Park). Gloucester Docks and Waterways museum. Leisure Centre (Leisureatcheltenham) Cotswold Farm Park (Adams Farm). Bourton On The Water - Birdland and Model Village Cotswold Wildlife Park All Things Wild Honeybourne Cheltenham Lido (Outdoor heated Victorian Pools). Cleeve Hill Golf Course.
