Location Highlights: University of Vermont (UVM) / Burlington: 25 minutes north Middlebury College: 35 minutes south World-Class Skiing: Under 1 hour to Stowe Mountain, Sugarbush, and Mad River Glen Lake Champlain's lakeside beaches, Shelburne Museum concert venue, Mt. Philo State Park, local restaurants, neighborhood stores, farms and farm stands are all under 15 minutes away. The living room is thoughtfully designed with a mix of new and vintage furnishings, taking advantage of the incredible light pouring through the many windows. The dining room opens up to the living room, seating 8 comfortably. The kitchen has all new appliances and is packed with utensils and dishes to set your table. A full size washer and dryer are tucked into the corner of the kitchen. Bedrooms are all upstairs with organic Saatva mattresses and a mix of luxury linens from Coyuchi, Parachute, Cozy Earth and Bed Threads. The Main Bedroom: king bed, desk, and a brand new en suite bathroom with double vanity and shower. The Bunk Room: a small jewel box of a bedroom with built-in curtained bunk beds and dresser. A magical adventure for kids and adults alike. The Loft: queen bed, large desk and workstation. Huge window with a beautiful view of the property. Please note: the loft is open down below to the living room, however no one can see up into the sleeping area. The hall bath has a shower/bathtub combo. The tub is smaller than usual, a mini tub if you will. Sliding doors off the dining room lead to a gorgeous outdoor space. The wooden deck has a large dining table with views of the mountains. Stairs from the deck lead down to a large grassy lawn with a seating area and vegetable garden. Whole house filter provides fresh, delicious drinking water. Excellent Wi-fi! Guest access There is private parking in the driveway. It will be self-check-in with a code provided before arrival. We have a local property manager (Jason) that is available if any issues arise. Other things to note Most importantly, this house is so very special to us. It is our personal home and has been carefully updated to preserve the integrity of the original architecture and vision. We trust that you'll be mindful and careful while on the property, please be gentle with all surfaces and materials. During cold months, please note heating is provided by ductless mini split units throughout the house a large stand up heater and the wood burning stove in the main living area. Portable Dyson heaters are located in the primary bedroom and bunk room for additional heat. The new primary bathroom also has radiant heated floors. During the summer, we have a brand new window A/C unit in the primary bedroom. The loft and downstairs both have mini split A/C units.
