Description
Welcome to Valhalla, a peaceful family-owned retreat tucked away in the bush near the falls. Established in the early 1980s, we offer affordable, family-friendly accommodation, perfect for a minimalist getaway or a quick stop between adventures. Just off the highway at Falls Creek, we’re 15 minutes from Nowra and only 15 minutes to the beautiful beaches of Jervis Bay and Booderee National Park. A quiet, restful base to explore the Shoalhaven’s best attractions. The space Escape to the quiet of the bush at our rustic farm cabins, located just 10-15 minutes out of town. Nestled in peaceful rural surroundings, our cabins offer a chance to unwind and reconnect with nature. Built in the early 1980s, they provide a simple, no-frills experience with a beautiful view of the bush creek. Ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors and a bit of peace and quiet, our cabins are pet-friendly and perfect for people on the go – whether you're sightseeing or working during the day. Located just 20m from the main farmstead, there’s plenty of space to park, especially if you're towing a trailer or boat. Please note, this is a very rustic space with limited electronics, so it’s perfect for those who want to unplug. T.V. reception isn’t great, but we offer Chromecast for streaming from your phone. There's no Wi-Fi, but we can provide a portable Wi-Fi dongle with data. All major phone networks receive coverage, although the network can get congested during peak holiday times. The cabin has basic kitchen amenities, so if you need specialty utensils or equipment, please bring your own. For those who enjoy cooking outdoors, there's a BBQ in the courtyard. The cabin can get chilly in winter, and we have air-conditioning to keep warm, but it’s a cozy, rustic feel. At night, the secluded location is dark, but it's perfect for stargazing by the fire pit (weather permitting). For animal lovers, you’ll see wildlife roaming at night – including a resident wombat, a shy bandicoot, and our local possum community. We ask that you observe and interact from a distance, as the property is home to protected and endangered species. The cabin overlooks Currambene Creek, with balcony access from the main bedroom. The balconies have no lights, but we provide candles and torches for your use. You're welcome to explore the property, though please don’t feed the horses by the stables. As for pets, the property is unfenced, but dogs are welcome inside (just not on the furniture or beds) and must be on a leash when outside. Horses are also welcome, though there's no creek access due to recent floods. We provide basic essentials to get you started, including tea, coffee, basic kitchen items, and bathroom supplies. If you’re staying longer than a couple of days, you may need to purchase more. If you have any questions or need more details, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to help!
