Description

This cozy two-bedroom home is conveniently situated in the heart of Moline, close to I-74, and minutes from parks, great food, venues, and of course, the Mississippi River! The home is on a spacious wooded double lot, so although it's in the heart of the city it feels like a true cottage getaway. A perfect spot for your stay for concerts, sporting events, work trips, or the many other things the Quad Cities has to offer! The space The Cottage is about 100 years old, and has been renovated with modern decor and conveniences. In the living area you'll find comfortable seating, TV with streaming services you can log into, a record player/records, a guitar and ukulele you can strum around on (carefully, please!), books, movies, and a basket of books and coloring for kids. Bedrooms are small but very comfortable with plenty of space for your belongings. Bedroom 2 leads to a private and cozy balcony! The quaint kitchen is stocked with cookware and everything else you'll need for basic cooking and serving, complete with wine and rocks glasses, and dishes for the kiddos! We know that coffee is a must, so you'll find a drip coffee maker, a kettle and french press, and a Keurig in the kitchen. K-cups and varieties of ground coffee are provided, as well as a variety of teas. Please note that there is no dishwasher. On a hook by the basement stairs you'll find a high chair (it's portable and stored in a bag similar to a camping chair!) for babies and toddlers. If you head to the basement you'll find the washer and dryer, which you're welcome to use. Please remember the age of the house (read: it's a century-old basement) so it's purely functional. The yard is big and spacious with huge trees.....perfect for yard games, playing fetch with the pups, or relaxing on one of the decks. There is no fence, so please be extra careful with pets and kids, as the main thoroughfare in front can be busy. Feel free to make a fire in the fire pit (located closer to the alley). Just make sure that all fires/embers are out before you head to bed for the night. Up to two pets are welcome, but please keep them off of furniture and be sure to wipe wet/muddy paws. Pet waste bags are provided and can be disposed of in the black trash bin by the shed. We love four-legged friends and trust that our guests will be responsible for their pets. Any damage by pets will incur a fee to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
