Situated on the perimeter of the Peak District, St Andrew’s House is a decadent Grade 2 listed Georgian house with a rich local history. The perfect destination for walking holidays as well as family and friends gathering. Located just a 10 minute drive from the Peak District National Park, as well as charming local walks such as Lumsdale Falls and with Matlock Bath on our doorstep, Lizzie Mullaney Signature Stays is perfect for exploring Derbyshire and the Peak District. The space This fabulous, bright and spacious house with a rich local history*, caters for large groups, sleeping up to 20 people. With 8 large bedrooms, St Andrew’s House is arranged over 3 stories, extending to over 4000sq ft. We have 8 bedrooms in total, 7 of which have king beds. The 8th bedroom has 2 triple bunk beds. There there are facilities to host lots of children too with 3 travel cots. Perfect for entertaining, there are a collection of Neff appliances, including a dishwasher, slide & hide microwave oven, slide & hide steam oven, slide & hide electric oven, coffee machine, integral fridge freezer and an induction hob with extractor above. In addition to the Neff appliances there is also a Caple wine cooler with two variable cooling zones. Other amenities for a comfortable stay include a washing machine, tumble dryer, sound system, as well as 2 Villeroy & Boch fitted shower rooms finished to a high standard, holding large, walk-in shower enclosures and both with double, surface mounted wash hand basins. There is a lovely large dining room plus two large living rooms, both complete with gas fires and cosy sofas. There are 10 smart tvs distributed around the property. Lizzie Mullaney Signature Stays welcome all pets as long as they can try to stay downstairs on ground floor levels. *St Andrew’s House is a Grade 2 listed Georgian House and was originally built for Earnest Bailey, the owner of the local mill. It was then opened as a boys home on St Andrew’s Day 1901, hence its namesake, housing 34 boys from the Waifs and Strays Society. To this day you can still hear the water running from the old mill and local Bentley Brook; the surrounding area is incredibly beautiful and tranquil and we feel immensely privileged to share this little piece of history with our guests. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house. On the grounds there is an annexe which is also rented out separately under listing ‘Luxurious Bolthole’ on Airbnb. The driveway and back patio area are shared space if both booked at the same time.
