Welcome to Jordås farm ~ an idyllic and rural small farm in Grimstad. 15 min from E18 in Grimstad, 20 min from Birkeland. Perfect for families, groups of friends or companies that need a place to stay for their employees. Here we can offer proximity to animals and nature, great hiking areas, rental of large and nice lavvu, rowboat and opportunities for fishing! A place for nature and outdoor life, but also recovery and rest, in peaceful and quiet surroundings. On the farm we have horses, chickens, rabbits, cats and dogs. Welcome! The space *The rental* The farm is sheltered and idyllic, with forests and lands surrounding the farm. Here, both adults and children have a good place to play! *Lavvo for rent* 500 m from the farm, in the middle of the forest by an idyllic pond, is the Jordås-lavvo. 5 beds, 20 seats, wood-fired stove and barbecue. Here it is cozy to gather around the fire. There is an animal trail right past the lavvu, so here are great opportunities to see moose, deer, deer, foxes or beavers in the pond. * Canoe/rowboat and fishing opportunities * At Lindvannet, which is a freshwater lake located 2 km further into the property, we have canoe and rowboat rentals, as well as simple fishing equipment *Beaver hunting* We rent out beaver hunting. *Walking and cycling areas* Popular hiking trails and hiking routes such as the children's hiking trail, Kongeveien, Einerfjell, and Kyrkjevegen are located in the immediate area and the farm can be used as a starting point for most trips. *Swimming and beach life* - Freshwater with possibilities for swimming from Svaberg (3 min walk from the farm) - Lindvannet (2 km) - swimming from Svaberg - Lundesanden (3 km) very large, long sandy beach - perfect for families with small children! There is also a floating jetty with a diving tower for the older children. - The archipelago in Grimstad (nearest place about 17 km) - must be experienced. Enjoy the day on a skerry or a lovely sandy beach! There is also boat rental in Grimstad, if you want to fish or spend the day on an island! At Kalvehageneset it is nice to go for a walk and it is adapted for wheelchair users and prams. It is also popular to fish here, as the area is facing the open sea. Guest access Guests have the entire accommodation for themselves. There are 4 separate bedrooms and a fifth bedroom on the 2nd floor with an open solution. Washing machine and dryer can be borrowed on request. For long-term rentals, fixed days are agreed for using the washing machine. Large wooden lavvo, with 20 seats on request. Large playground with sand, beach toys and swing rack with slide/climbing wall Football pitch Patio with garden furniture and a barbecue. Lending of canoe, rowboat and simple fishing equipment. Other things to note The property consists of two houses that are built together. The oldest part built in 1935 is rented out. Here you get to experience the charm with floor creaking and cozy, small living rooms. We live in the newest part of the house. For larger groups (up to 20 guests), we can also rent out the entire home on request. You will then get two complete housing units in the same house and the entire farm for yourself. The farm is rural and is located about 19 km from the center of Grimstad. There is no public transport nearby, except for the school bus. It is therefore recommended that tenants have a car. The nearest grocery store is located in Bergemoen, about 15 minutes drive from the farm. Mobile coverage (4g) is poor at the rental. But we have WiFi, (fiber) for our guests, with very good capacity and coverage.
