The House in the Hamlet

La Casa nel Borgo is an apartment in the historic center of Piancastagnaio, within the walls of the fortress, accessed from the arch of the fountain. Just minutes from the summit of Mount Amiata and close to the San Filippo spa, ideal for a romantic getaway, mountain biking, skiing, or to spend a few days with the family in the tranquility of the village. You will be the protagonists of a unique experience! The stone streets and typical alleys of the Rocca will take you back in time... The space The accommodation is a typical apartment of the area, a classic mountain house that is spread over two floors. On the first floor is the living area, with a room used for storing bikes, skis, and equipment. On the upper floor are the two bedrooms, one double with the possibility of a bed with gates for a small child, the other with a French bed of a size suitable for two children or an adult. Guest access You can walk to pizzerias, restaurants, bars, shops and markets; traffic inside the castle is allowed, but usually only residents have access, so traffic is almost non-existent. You can stop near the apartment to unload, and there are public parking lots nearby that are easily accessible. Other things to note The heating of the apartment is with a pellet stove. We can provide the bags of pellets at a cost of €7 each, and we will make sure they are already in the house. Otherwise, you can easily buy them yourself, and we can advise you in which stores in the area to find them.
