Halfway between Brienz and Axalp, surrounded by mighty firs and beeches, stands the Weidhaus Margel in a wide forest clearing at 1100 meters above sea level. The Weidhaus Margel was rebuilt from scratch in 2015. In order to preserve the idyll and character of this striking place, simplicity was deliberately emphasized. Candlelight and the fire in the stove give the cozy room a special charm! A place to recharge, relax and enjoy the tranquility and nature! The space On a gallery there are two double mattresses, which can accommodate four people. If there are small children, it can also accommodate five people. If necessary, the sofa can also be used as a double bed. The Weidhaus Margel is not connected to the power grid. However, a solar panel on the roof provides electricity for the light, a small refrigerator and for charging the cell phone (via USB port, type A). Cooking is done on a rustic wood-burning stove. A wood-burning stove with hot water provides hot water in the bathroom and kitchen. There is no Wi-Fi in the cabin. Other things to note During the summer months you can watch the calves and cattle grazing. Pets on request. Tourist taxes are due on site.
