Description

This rare tiny A-Frame cabin is a cozy getaway in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Georgia—nestled between state parks (Black Rock, Tallulah Gorge/Falls, Moccasin Creek), popular outdoor destinations (Lake Rabun/Burton/Seed, Minnehaha Falls) & miles of hiking trails! Nearby is the charming historic town of Clayton (est. 1819); home to the flagship Wander outdoor store, amazing food spots (Wood-fired pizza, Cuban, Mexican, Italian, American, etc.) & lovely shops. Follow us on insta @tinyacabin! The space YOUR HOSTS: My husband Sam and I are a couple in our 30’s who are brand new to Airbnb (this is our first & only property) and we are super excited to host you. We’re also ready to answer any questions you might have, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! :) THE SPACE: The cabin has two levels: downstairs is the main floor with a private queen bedroom and ensuite bathroom, a living room with a retro MCM malm wood-burning fireplace, a cozy dining area (comfortably seats four people with an expandable dining table and two additional folding chairs), and an open kitchen in the corner. Upstairs is a cozy loft with a queen bed, reading nook, and privacy curtains. There’s also a great deck out back with a seating area, small table, fire pit, and charcoal grill! SPECIAL AMENITIES: - The queen bed on the main floor is a Lucid Hybrid Memory Foam Mattress (Infused with Bamboo, Charcoal, and Aloe Vera) - The queen bed in the loft is a ZINUS Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress (Infused with Green Tea Cooling Gel) - The kitchen is stocked with all the basic amenities you need to cook and serve full meals (pots/pans, microwave/oven safe cookware, utensils, etc.) - In addition to a standard Mr. Coffee drip coffeemaker, we have a Keurig Special Edition machine that can make expresso for a latte/cappuccino (with foamed milk!) as well as complimentary coffee pods, creamers, and sugar. - We offer Public Goods personal care products in the bathroom and kitchen - There's a dedicated workspace with a sit-to-stand desk and anti-fatigue mat - We've got a Victrola suitcase record player, records, games, and books! ACTIVITIES: - Cozy up indoors by the wood-burning fireplace or enjoy s'mores on the outdoor fire-pit and charcoal grill (Note: You will need to provide your own firewood, which can be bought at the hardware store 7 minutes from the cabin. Also, please leave the damper open!) - Play a game, cards, puzzle, or read a book from our collection in the cabinet next to the couch! (If you get attached to a book and want to take it home with you, it can be yours for $5 -- just let us know!) - Feel free to bring your favorite records to use on the turntable or use ours! - Watch the Hisense 4K smart TV using any of your favorite streaming apps through Chromecast/AirPlay from your phone. Local Atlanta-area channels are available as well via the Channels DVR app. - Head down the deck stairs to relax on the hammock and read a book or nap! - Lightning fast WiFi is available via TrailWave fiber with speeds of ~400+ mbps! Or feel free to plug into the router via ethernet if you like as well. LOCATION: We are part of a tiny cabin community on a mountainside, but our neighborhood is close to everything. Think of the A-frame cabin as your home base to get out and explore all that the North Georgia mountains have to offer! Here are some nearby attractions: 2 minutes to the Chota Falls Estate wedding venue 3 minutes to the Rabun Arena 7 minutes to the nearest grocery store and other amenities 7 minutes to the hardware store (for firewood) 10 minutes to Tallulah Gorge State Park 10 minutes to downtown Clayton 15 minutes to award-winning farm-to-table restaurants 20 minutes to the town of Dillard 3-10 minutes to countless hiking, kayaking, fishing, tubing, paddle-boarding, exploring & adventure spots! Guest access You'll have access to all 576 square feet of this tiny cabin and the acre of land it sits on! NOTE: Since we have (unfortunately) had some issues with this recently, we want to make sure we state up front that this is a NON-SMOKING SPACE. Smoking of any kind in or anywhere near the cabin is strictly prohibited and we will charge you a $500 fine if the cabin smells of smoke after your stay. Other things to note HEADS-UP: - There is no dishwasher and the fridge/freezer is small (Magic Chef 3.2 cu. ft. 2 door). The stove/oven range is also a small apartment-sized unit (2.9 cu. ft.) - There is no washer/dryer, but there's a laundromat 8 mins up the road! - We ask that you do not make a fire in the fireplace on the day of your checkout, as this can be very dangerous. - There is a very sweet, non-aggressive neighborhood dog named Cash (a small-build German Shepherd who loves to play fetch). He may wander through the property at some point during your stay, but we have a wooden gate that you can use to keep him off the deck :) SAFETY & SECURITY: - The dirt path from the parking pad down to the cabin has a somewhat steep decline, so please use the rope railing for your safety—especially as you take the final steps before the front deck. - Because our cabin has a stepladder to the loft, we provide a wooden safety gate which you can put up to block younger kids from accessing the stairs. But it's the parents’ responsibility to judge whether their child is old enough to navigate the ladder and ensure their safety. - We have an outdoor security camera on the premises with a view of the front entrance to the property, but there are no indoor cameras. - You may see many types of animals in the woods, so please be respectful & use common sense! ACCESSIBILITY & PARKING: We are located on a paved road, so you do not need a four-wheel drive to access the cabin. Our gravel parking pad has space for 2 standard-size vehicles side-by-side. CLEANLINESS: We are committed to Airbnb's enhanced cleaning protocol. Our top-rated professional cleaners deep clean & thoroughly sanitize all surfaces between guests, including high-touch areas. Which means you can be reassured that the space will be safe and sanitized during your stay! PETS: We do allow pets (2 max), but we ask that you keep them on a leash when they are outside, since there are no fences around our property and there are cabins on either side of ours who we would not like to disturb. We provide furniture covers for the couch and chair which are required for guests with pets. Remember, there is a neighborhood dog named Cash (a small-build German Shepherd) who may wander through the property at some point during your stay. He is SUPER sweet and friendly (ie: not aggressive at all!), but he may come up to you outside and want you to throw a stick for him to fetch :) That said, we do have a wooden gate that you can set at the top or bottom of the deck stairs to prevent him from interacting with you or your pets! OTHER: Per Rabun County Short-Term Rental license requirements: Occupant is obligated to abide by all of the requirements of the Rabun County ordinances, state, and federal law, and such a violation of any of these rules may result in the immediate termination of the agreement and eviction from the premises, as well as potential liability for payment of fines levied.
