This chalet is much more than just an ordinary accommodation; it is a genuine off-grid house where you can get active and leave everyday life behind. Look forward to highlights such as a cozy reading gallery, an inviting barbecue area, a piano, a table tennis table, various board games, as well as a washing machine and dryer – and much more. In addition, this retreat includes an area of approximately 40,000 m² that is available for your free development and exploration. While the bedrooms and bathrooms are equipped with electric heating, the living area is heated exclusively by the traditional Swedish stove. The sauna and hotpot also operate solely on wood – an invitation to immerse yourself in the authentic charm of bygone times. Sustainability and a respectful approach to nature are especially important to us. That is why careful handling of wood is very important. Unfortunately, in the past, wood was not used sustainably, leading to excessive consumption. To avoid this and promote an environmentally conscious lifestyle, we charge a fee for the wood, its transport, and its elaborate preparation. Other things to note Important Information: The chalet is accessible only on foot; please take this into account when transporting your luggage. The walk from the parking lot takes about 5 minutes. From spring to autumn, the neighbor’s cows, goats, and donkeys occasionally graze nearby. Additionally, the chalet is located directly on a hiking trail that connects the nearby Embder hiking area with other popular hiking and ski resorts. For example, you can reach Moosalp in approximately 20 minutes, Grächen and Saas Fee in about 30 minutes, Zermatt in 45 minutes to 1 hour, Aletscharena in around 30 minutes, and the well-known spa town of Leukerbad in about 1 hour. The chalet is heated exclusively with wood. The cozy living room is equipped with a large TV and offers access to Netflix as well as Wi-Fi. Two resident cats contribute to a homely atmosphere – they obtain their food either from the surrounding nature or from an automated dispenser that provides dry food. Out of consideration for the well-being of our furry friends, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing dogs.
