Stay in a scenic valley amidst oat fields and horse pastures. Still, it's only about 20 minutes to the airport! Here you can admire the deer at dusk and wake up in the morning to the birdsong or the crowing of the chickens. Three sheep and chickens will also move next to the tent for the summer, and they will keep you company during your visit. How would you like to have your morning coffee with sheep or omelet made from eggs picked straight from the nest? Welcome to rural Espoo! The space In this tent, which is more than 5 meters in diameter, you will find almost all the comforts of a hotel room: a double bed (160cm wide) with a memory foam mattress and high-quality percale cotton sheets. The tent is waterproof and has electricity. The tent is also equipped with a separate chair and a small table, a clothes rack and floor cushions. The tent is not insulated, but the blankets are thick and there are many quilts. The tent also has a heater if the temperature drops too much. It's really comfortable to sleep there even if the temperature goes below freezing at night, especially if you wear a long-sleeved top for the night. The tent is located on the edge of our plot in the yard of a detached house, so you can leave your car/bike in our yard. From there, it is about a 50-meter walk down to the field where the tent is located. There are a lot of deer and foxes near the tent, and a kestrel preys in the field. A couple of times we have also seen a lynx couple, a wolverine and a badger, so in the tent you really sleep in the middle of nature and the sounds of nature. You can freely pet the sheep in the enclosure next to the tent, they are tame and eat from your hand. As the evenings darken, you can watch the starry sky with binoculars, which opens up on a cloudless night in four directions. In addition to the double bed, the tent can also accommodate two thick mattresses, so the tent can accommodate 4 adults to sleep well (Note: If you book a tent for three people, for example, but would still like two separate mattresses in addition to a double bed, please let us know). You will have your own private yard area with a campfire, hammock, and outdoor toilet with hand washing facilities. There is also an outdoor kitchen, where you will find a kettle, coffee maker, coffee grinder, 1-burner electric stove, refrigerator, gas grill with gas, electric grill, muurikka pan, pots, dishes and cutlery for 8, as well as drinking water, coffee, tea, basic spices and cooking oil. Firewood, matches, toilet paper, paper towels, and detergents (dish soap, all-purpose detergent) are also available on site. The shower facilities and indoor toilet are located in the basement of our house, which is easy to access from the tent. They are at your private disposal throughout your visit. We do use other spaces in the basement (such as the laundry room), but the shower and toilet are reserved entirely for your use. You have a large number of yard games, including croquet, ladder board, frisbee golf basket and discs, mölkky and petanque. We also have an electric car charging facility (type 2), with a fee depending on usage. Breakfast/evening snack basket during overnight stay €25/2 people, (bread, spread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fruit). Coffee, tea, cocoa, oatmeal and jam can be found in the summer kitchen. You can pick up freshly laid eggs from the henhouse:) If you want to come for a day or organize a birthday party here, the place is perfect for that too:) The yard can accommodate several cars and the campfire area has a lot of space for organizing a party. Guest access Guests have access to their own private courtyard, which includes a tent, a campfire area, an outdoor kitchen, a playground, a hammock, and an outdoor toilet with hand washing facilities. The shower facilities and indoor toilet can be found in the basement of our house, which is easy to access from the tent. You can go to the sheepfold freely at any time, if you want you can also feed the sheep by hand and pet them😊 Other things to note Pets are welcome! We have a dog, but we will keep it on a leash/inside during your visit. A water cup, towel, swimming pool, cage (100x60x60) and a pet bed are available for the pet🙂 During the hunting season, you can see hunters walking in the field behind the tent and hear an occasional shot from the forest in the distance. There is some intermittent flight noise in the area and the sounds can be heard in the tent. Please also note that the horses of nearby riding stables must not be fed or petted without the permission of the stable. If you want to book a horse riding, a riding lesson or even a stable tour, I recommend the Onnenpotku stable (about 2 km from the tent).
