Helmswood Barn - Helm Byre

Helmswood Barn is a newly renovated barn conversion within the Yorkshire Dales. Dentdale is often referred to as the prettiest of Dales. Our home is at the foot Helm Knott, with access onto the fell from the back garden. Private access to two walled paddocks is available. Secure storage for cycles is available upon request. Access to the gardens is available to all guests. We are located near the village of Dent, or a short drive into the Lake District. The space Helm Byre is a ground floor self contained apartment within Helmswood Barn. Our property is newly renovated and benefits from a host of amenities such as smart TV's, boiling water tap, new kitchen with quartz worktops/breakfast bar and furniture. We have new appliances such as washing machine and dishwasher and coffee machine. Plus a lovely Morso wood burner. The bedroom offers a kingsize bed with bluetooth enabled music mirror in the shower room. There is a large shared garden with garden furniture. This garden has a traditional stone wall around it and a small wildlife pond. There is access to two enclosed paddocks. We have a stile at the rear of the house with a footpath that takes you up towards Helm Knott. This footpath can be taken to Sedbergh or to Dent. Guest access You will have access to all of the apartment/converted barn and shared garden. Access to one of the paddocks is subject to any sheep that may be grazing, this happens periodically. Access to our secure orchard is available at all times, in addition to the large walled garden. Other things to note This is a rural property and there are sheep nearby in neighboring fields. Dog owners must assess if their dog is suitable for such an environment. There are steps going down to the main entrance from the parking area. These steps may not be suitable for people unsure of foot. One benefit of living in a naturally dark space is at night it is pitch black. We have limited lighting available out of respect for the dark sky. Maybe bring a torch with you. Helm Byre is a ground floor barn conversion.
