Other things to note Starting from January 1, 2024, in compliance with Article 30 of Law 5073/2023 by the Greek government, a new Environmental Fee, known as the Climate Crisis Resilience Fee, will be implemented. The fee is to be paid by guests staying in hotels, furnished rooms/apartments (rooms to let), and short-term rentals. Accommodations are responsible for collecting this fee from guests and remitting it directly to the tax authorities. The increased fee is structured based on the type and category of accommodation and is set to vary seasonally. From April to October, the fee will be as follows: – Short-term rental properties: 8 euros per night (so 8euros*2floors=16euros/night) The climate resilience fee has to be paid separately from the accommodation cost and will be collected from us in cash during your stay, giving you a receipt for the total amount.
