Escape to Misty Hill, a stunning farmhouse at the gateway to the Yarra Valley and local Wedding Venues. Beautifully appointed the house sleeps up to 10 guests (only) in a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere. A farm kitchen, wood fireplaces, herb garden, children's play area, goats, and alfresco dining just 45 mins from Melbourne with shops restaurants, wineries and country pubs nearby. The perfect accommodation for families, bride and groom pre wedding preparations and groups of friends. No events. The space The rooms are spacious and flow well yet provide guests with areas to relax and enjoy the distant views of misty hills, farm paddocks and the lovely country garden. The kitchen, family and dining room ( large table for everyone to enjoy meals together) are well equipped for easy living and cooking. Downstairs is a beautiful king bedroom with distant views that opens onto the veranda and a queen bedrooms with a huge walk-in dressing room and small deck that opens into the garden and spacious bathroom. Upstairs is geared for family accommodation with a large queen bedroom and a double bedroom, a cot and 2 single beds ( shared) with views across the countryside. ( second cot and high chair available also kid’s table and chairs) The house is stylish and eclectic yet well appointed for your needs without fuss so you can enjoy your stay in comfort. Guest access Guests have plenty of room to enjoy this country getaway. Sitting in the alfresco area outside the kitchen you can watch the children play in the fully fenced country garden either playing on the play equipment or exploring the more formal garden. Guests are welcome to enjoy the herb garden ( seasonal) and collect a few treats to add flavour to their dishes, why not pick a lemon or lime and stop and say hello to the goats on your way back to the house. There’s an old tennis court to have a run around on and plenty of space for kites and ball games. Keep an eye out for kangaroos and the echidna. The birdlife is abundant from Eagles to Wood Ducks with everything in between. Rare Gang Gang and Yellow Tail Black Cockatoo are also spotted, a bird lovers paradise. Other things to note The house runs both on solar power and the grid and is serviced by mains water and large rainwater tanks. The altitude is 150m above sea level and seems to have its own weather system so don’t forget your summer hat and winter woolies. A fire pit is provided ( CFA restrictions apply ) but with extra charges for wood.. please contact host.
