Private beach front cabin with Mt. Rainier view

Located on the southernmost point of Vashon Island on Commencement Bay, this property has panoramic views from East to West. To the east are Mt. Rainier and the Cascade mountain range, huge cargo ships coming into the port of Tacoma, and early morning sunrises. To the west, catch a glimpse of the Olympic mountain range and view the most amazing, ever-changing sunsets. Straight ahead across the water, is the Tacoma waterfront, Pt. Ruston and Pt. Defiance Park, all only a ferry ride away. The space Inside the house, you will find a relaxed comfortable, welcome home, atmosphere. Lots of places to relax or have an afternoon nap. The lower level bedroom is only accessible from the outside, there is no indoor staircase. We have furnished this bedroom with a nice camp toilet for nighttime necessities just in case. The kitchen is well-equipped for eating in. Spices and condiments, baking supplies, and cooking oils are well stocked. Vashon is known for its many wonderful restaurants and most offer carry-out. The Saturday market is very popular. Comfort and cleanliness are our utmost priority. Outdoor living here is amazing with the lower and upper outdoor spaces, so many seating and relaxation options. Guest access All areas of the house are available to our guests with the exception of one small refrigerator in the laundry room. Other things to note FULL DISCLOSURE...Getting to the cabin does involve a trail with 140-ish stairs. The trail is a meandering switchback that is exceptionally maintained, including handrails every step of the way and has beautiful views of what awaits you at the bottom The trail is worth the effort for what you will gain in privacy and being directly next to the water your entire stay. If we are available, we are more than happy to help you carry your belongings in for your stay or out when you leave. We enjoy and can always use the exercise.
