Victorian Pearl

Description

This meticulously restored Victorian house sits right across the street from the Peconic bay and is very close to the heart of this historic city. Aficinados of vintage Queen Anne residences take notice, here you will be enlightened and educated with all the restoration work that has been done. This piede de terre with its's own private entrance is located on the second floor of the home with 2 bedrooms, a living room, a large country kitchen and full bath with a claw foot tub. The space As you approach your own front entrance and ascend the staircase your vacation home opens up to a sunlit living room with a bay window looking down the oversized yard and garden. There is a comfy leather sofa accented with Louis 16th chairs and a new smart TV with Netflix and of course internet access. Continuing on there is a oversized kitchen with everything from Keurig coffee maker with capsules to W/D, microwave, stove, dishwasher, large farmer's table for carefree entertaining plus a dedicated work station. There are 2 bedrooms as listed; the larger one with a queen 4 poster bed that sits in the front of the house and on cool nights the is embraced with sea breezes. The smaller one for some reason is always favored by my guests, it's very comfy with carefully selected antiques from Louisiana. Plus the bathroom is artfully restored with a pull chain WC and a claw foot tub. At the front of the house, as in all these homes is a wonderful wrap around porch with chairs and a 3 seater outdoor chain swing sofa. Behind the house there is a the garden with outdoor wrought iron table, chairs and umbrella for your entertaining completed by a gas grill and professional Ping Pong table As for the location-it could not be more strategically placed. As I stated before, we are directly across the street from the bay which is also home to one of the most prestigious oyster farms on the north fork, with tours available. Not a hop, skip and a jump but just a hop and skip is the GP RR station and Hampton Jitney stop. Continuing up that way one passes the harbour and enters the town thru its main square where is housed the famous carousel. Here in town there are wonderful restaurants worthy of NYC status and antique shops galore. Please stop by Aldo's the mecca of the north fork for the best quality coffees. Also, there is a winery close by, called Kontokosta where one can sip NF wines and crudite's while gazing on the pristine Long Island Sound. Plus all the towns that make up the NF are all close by with there own particular flavors and nuances that help create the wonderful eclectic pallete of the NF. There is so much here to do. Guest access As stated above-the front double door entrance is for you alone. We use a lock Box with code and key.
