A yurt-cabin is an all season, hard sided and insulated that is heated with a wood stove and a propane heater. Relax, unwind and disconnect while you are cozy camping under the stars by the Popo Agie River in this off-grid yurt. You will be next to the Popo Agie River on a shared 3-1/2 acres. We are frequented by an abundance of wildlife and welcomed by our two friendly llamas (Trip and Journey), two sheep, ducks and chickens. Only two miles to town and 6 miles to Sinks Canyon State Park. The yurt-cabin is tucked on the far side of the pasture next to the Popo Agie River. There is an outhouse with a composting toilet and a heated outdoor shower (shower available from June to September). We have also included a solar camp shower when the outdoor shower is not available. You are welcome to roam around our property of Grass River Retreat. Owners live in the big cabin and the small cabin is also on AirBnB. There is a fishing hole in front of our outbuildings. A Wyoming fishing license is required. We do ask that you catch and release. We live on the property and enjoy meeting our guests. If we are having a fire in our fire pit, please join us for S’mores and a beverage. We are located 2 miles outside of Lander. There is a Yeti charging station for charging up your electronics or boil some hot water for coffee or tea. Water is in a container in the Yurt for drinking. A composting toilet is outside the Yurt. A heated outdoor shower and running water is available June to September. There is no cooking, smoking or candles in the yurt. The fire pit has a grate to cook on, rent a camping cook kit or bring your own to cook outside. Please let us know if you want to rent the camp kitchen and we will have it set up for your arrival. This includes a propane stove with a full propane bottle and cooking utensils. (Cost: $15) We also sell fresh eggs and seasonal vegetables from our organic garden.
