Tunturikelo - beautiful log cottage in the Fells

Tunturikelo is an atmospheric and beautiful little log cottage on the edge of the Kaldoaivi Wilderness area in Nuorgam, Finland. It accommodates up to 4 persons. See the Northern Lights from the backyard. You have direct access to the wilderness for hiking, mountain skiing or to ride a snowmobile. Here you are close to nature, but the grocery stores are just 10 mins away. The cottage has a modern kitchen, indoor toilet, a new sauna building with a shower and a second toilet. The space The cottage is located a step from the Fells. Here you can enjoy Lapland's nature in all four seasons: The Winter with the Northern Lights, snow and the polar nights. The Spring with the sun on the snowy fells. The Summer with the midnight sun. The Fall with the beautiful fall colors. You have access directly from the front door to the fells to hike, ski, or ride a snowmobile or mountain bike. Guest access Nuorgam, the northernmost village in the EU, is an excellent place for adventuring. It is located 500 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle, near the Norwegian border. Here you have the biggest chance to see the Northern lights. In Nuorgam, you can enjoy the peacefulness and clean nature. You also won't find a mass of tourists here. Kaldoaivi Wilderness area is the largest wilderness reserve in Finland. Here you can enjoy the quiet, pure air, and rough beauty. And best of all, safety. You will probably only see reindeer, willow grouses and the other birds. The predators, like bears or wolfs, are very rare (you're actually lucky if you ever see one) and there are no poisonous snakes. From Nuorgam village you can make trips to Norway and also see the Arctic Ocean. In the summer, you can fish the trouts, and whitefish. You can hike or ride a mountain bike in the fells. In the winter you can experience the cross country skiing, snowmobile safaris, husky- and reindeer sledding in the wilderness. Other things to note Our small activity center/snowmobile garage is nearby, but it doesn't bother the staying customers. The cabin's bedroom area doesn't have doors. The cabin has an inside toilet with a bide shower, sauna has a shower and a second toilet. Sauna is heated by wood. Saunas are a big part of Finnish culture. The towels (one big, one small) arent ment to use in sauna. If you want to use towels in sauna, prepare to take your own. The additional cost-hot tub which is shown in some pictures is not in use. End cleaning does not include dish washing, also please take your food out from the fridge when leaving.
