The house is a beautifully restored 19th-century farmhouse tastefully updated with modern amenities. The spacious interior features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, and a cozy living room. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch, a sunset cocktail in the vineyard or s'mores by the fire pit. The space Enjoy a peaceful retreat with family and friends at the Forster Farmstead. Throughout the house*, enjoy beautifully restored antique furniture pieces including a mahogany bed dating back to the mid-1800s (don't worry, it's SUPER comfortable and sturdy). The Kitchen: You'll enjoy cooking for family and friends with a Wolf range and Subzero refrigerator. The kitchen has an eat-in dining space and a casual living area (sofa & chair) with a fireplace stove. The Dining Room: Plan a more formal meal in the wood-paneled dining room. The Living Room: Curl up with a good book or sit down for a game of chess in the cozy living room. Bedrooms: The house sleeps 6 comfortably with additional open space for up to 2 more guests. The downstairs has two bedrooms (one with a twin bed, one with a full bed). The upstairs has a master suite (queen bed) and a bedroom with two twin beds. The upstairs bedrooms can be sectioned off from the rest of the house to create a family suite for 4 people. For additional guests, there is a daybed with trundle in an open landing area on the second floor. Bathrooms: The house has two full bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) adorned with clean white Carrara marble. The downstairs bathroom has a tub/shower. The upstairs bathroom, accessible through the master suite has a shower and double vanity. The Grounds: You'll enjoy exploring the 5+ acres of the peacefully, secluded farmstead: enjoy a sunset cocktail in the vineyard, take your morning coffee in one of the rocking chairs on the front porch, nap under the shade of 100+ year old trees in one of the hammocks and cozy up by the fire-pit with a s'more at night. * The house was built in the late 1800s, so please expect a little quirkiness from a home that was built over 100 years ago (example: only 2 bathrooms, door frames are a bit low in places, etc.) However, nothing was spared in a recent renovation, tastefully bringing the house up to modern day luxury and comfort. Guest access Guests will have full access to the house, two-car garage, fire-pit and the 5 acre estate. For safety reasons, guests will NOT have access to the barn, chicken coop (empty), and milking shed. Other things to note The house is conveniently located to Geneva Lake (closest public access points are ~10 minutes away by car). For dining options, Richmond is 5-minute drive and is home to fantastic restaurants, cafes and shops. Or, for a tasty meal at home, stop by a local farmstand (there is one at the end of the driveway!) for local meat and produce
