The restaurants (Bayside and Harborside) are open seasonally but close around 4:00-5:00pm. Food can also be made by locals and delivered to the home with special arrangements. Otherwise I recommend stopping at Food Lion in Crisfield (can place order online use the food lion app) to get food and drinks before you get on the boat. Bring an envelope and write your license plate information on it and place in the drop box. It’s a short walk (less than 5 minutes) from the parking lot back to the dock. Parking also available at Somers Cove Marina in Crisfield and is a little farther walk (10 minutes) from there to the dock. There are 2 boats that leave daily at 12:30pm from the Crisfield city dock . Bring cash to pay for boat ride and for when on the island (some places take credit cards but cash is preferred). Price varies based on amount of luggage and what you bring with you. The boat Island Belle II with Otis as the captain is the green boat. There is a second boat also runs called Capt Jason with Terry as the captain. These are subject to change especially with weather. It is a 40-45 minute ride to Smith Island and you arrive in Ewell. It is less than a 10 minute walk to the house from where the red boat docks. it’s about a 3 minute walk from the green boat dock. Feel free to bring your own bikes or kayaks but I have two of each (bikes and kayaks) and an inflatable paddle board for use by guests. Boat (or boats) depart the island at 7:30am daily (weather dependent) but should confirm with boat captain and most Sundays at 11:00am (weather dependent) and Tuesday -Thursday there may be a late boat leaving the island at 4:00pm and returning from Crisfield at 4:45pm. This is the Island Belle 2(green boat Captain Otis) Guests use the kayaks, bikes, paddle board and golf cart at their own risk.
