Lost Lake Base Camp

Our cozy, 260 sqft cabin (tiny home) is nestled below the base of Lost Lake Trail Head under the rainforest canopy, surrounded by towering trees in a quiet, forested neighborhood. The cabin is a perfect retreat for those looking connect with nature. Hike, bike, ski or snow-machine in the winter from your front door! The space As you approach the cabin, you'll notice the charming front porch and surrounding woods. Your hosts live on the property and are available for any and all questions. We provide locally roasted coffee and tea . Our cabin is an efficiency unit of about 260 sq feet including the loft bedroom, small kitchenette, living space and bathroom. The loft, accessible by ladder, features a comfortable queen-sized bed with sloping ceilings and plenty of natural light. Our cabin is perfect for couples but we can accommodate up to 3 with the pull-out couch. That being said, this is a very small cabin and more than two guest can feel tight. It is heated by a Toyo stove, has a small yet functional kitchenette, equipped with everything you need to whip up a delicious meal, including a mini-fridge, stove top burner, microwave, pour over coffee pot, tea kettle and basic cooking utensils/spices/cooking oil. There's also a small extendable dining bar with stools, perfect for intimate meals or a game of cards. Outside the cabin, you'll find a covered outdoor dining area, complete with a grill, picnic table and large fire pit with seating. Cozy up with a book or roast marshmallows under the stars! (Or midnight sun) Guest access You will have the entire cabin, outdoor patio and fire pit to yourselves. We are located just off the Seward Highway 2 miles outside of Seward city limits. Other things to note Base Camp Cabin is located on private property but separate from our home. We will be on the property, available for anything you may need during your stay but we very much value your privacy. Rabbits, moose and bear have been known to frequent the property and we highly recommend looking before exiting your cabin. We apologize for the inconvenience but at this time we do not allow pets due allergies. This property is not a good option for loud evenings due to its location in a quiet, residential neighborhood close to our home. Our cabin has a loft with a steep ladder and is not suited well for kids or those with disabilities hindering their ability to climb the ladder.
