The detached Gardener's Retreat is a delightful one bed log cabin with open plan living space & bed, and separate bathroom. It has secure off road parking, and is set in mature, landscaped gardens with unique architectural, sculptural and water features, including a Gothic styled folly. There is ample outdoor space, fireplace & seating, & charcoal barbecue. Facilities include oven, hob, microwave, fridge & bathroom with shower. All linen, towels, cutlery & utensils are provided. See Guidebook The space The Retreat is a cosy, well equipped and stylish log cabin, being a mix of both Vintage and Modern. If you wish to relax indoors you can read or watch TV from the comfort of the leather sofa or the Vintage Iron Bed. The fine glasses in the Armoire, and the Vintage table and ovenware are all there to be used. Be sure to checkout the local guidebook for places to visit and things to see Guest access Guests will be given an introduction on check in, but in summary, the Retreat is for the exclusive use of the guest, with off road parking directly outside. The available outside space, with the exception of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, is what you see in the Listing Photos. Other things to note BE SURE TO CHECKOUT THE ONLINE LOCAL GUIDEBOOK. A hard copy is available in the Retreat with photos and contact numbers. (Unfortunately, Airbnb do not allow upload of Photo's, pdf's or contact details and links to the guidebook) We provide welcome tea, coffee, milk, sugar, bottled water and eggs from our own hens. The Refrigerator has a freezer compartment. We provide a charcoal barbeque with utensils, and a welcome pack of instant light charcoal. Top up kits are available to buy on site. There is a log burning fireplace, and again we provide a welcome kit containing all you need for a nice fire (Fire lighters, kindling and dried hardwood logs). More logs are available to buy should you need them. No candles or naked flames are allowed inside the Retreat, or within 3m of the cabin. Hand soap is provided, as well as washing up liquid. The Retreat has a guide book of local attractions, services, walks and cycling. In the main, guests will be welcomed by the host, however, if that is not possible, then you would be directed to the key safe. Bicycles can be securely stored within the gated property The Host can provide individual tuition courses on Macrame and Jewellery making, by appointment (POA).
