Sunny, one-bedroom in-law apartment walking distance from lake Merritt, near public transit lines serving downtown Oakland and San Francisco. Shops and restaurants on Grand and Lakeshore are also walking distance, as are a few nice promontories (Cleveland Cascade, Colonades), and grassy parks. The apartment is kid friendly. There is a separate enter to the apartment which is an extension of our own house. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with everything you'll need to prepare a meal. The space Newly renovated kitchen, one bedroom, one living room, one bathroom with shower over tub, and large sunny tiled terrace from which you can take in the sun and survey the surroundings. There is a futon in the living room which allows it to function as a second bedroom. There are chair cushions for the outdoor table and chairs in the closet. The apartment is above street level, accessible through a side gate and up a short flight of stairs. Guest access You will have access to the entire apartment, and a large, sunny terrace that overlooks the street and is equipped with a glass dining table that seats 6. Upon request we can also provide access to our washer/dryer which is accessible through a hallway attached to the apartment, and located in the garage area. Other things to note Oakland has a temperate climate and most homes in the area don’t have air conditioning. Our house is no exception. You can create a nice cross-breeze by opening the windows and blinds on opposite sides of the house. Cushions for the outdoor chairs are in the bedroom closet. We keep the cushions inside when not in use to make sure they stay clean and dry. If you do take them out, please make sure to take them in again when not in use.
