Get away from it all when you stay under the stars at this family friendly house located on a private farm. A newly renovated home with modern amenities in a rustic surrounding. Enjoy games and great meals inside or on the large patio. Lots of space for the whole family (including your furry friends) on the open land. Perfect for long walks, sports or just enjoying the sunrise or sunset. The space Recently renovated home. Modern look while maintaining the farmhouse charm. Open concept living/dining area with large couch and table big enough for 8. Kitchen is well equipped and all stainless steel appliances. Basic pantry items are there. Bedrooms are good size and all have space to unpack. Guest access Access the farmhouse and the shed with the blue siding (used for storage of firepit). You have the lawn space that is mowed down. Please do not enter the following: Closed basement door (where the flooring isn't finished) Metal Shed Barn Farmers field Forest Other things to note BBQ: There are utensils in the drawer under the ovens. You need a lighter to light the BBQ. Please do not move the BBQ and leave the stone on it. Replacement Propane tanks can be purchased at the Petro Canada (5 min. drive). Fire Pit: The firepit is portable. Please exercise caution when using and completely extinguish the flame when done using water. The pit as well some starter paper and wood are in the shed. Additional wood can be purchased at the Petro Canada (5 min. drive) Water: We recommend drinking bottled water. You may use the tap water for washing hands, dishes, etc. Patio Furniture: There is a sofa set with a cover. Please cover the sofa each night and tuck the cover under the corners so it doesn't blow away. There are two sets of tables folded up on south side of the patio. Please put furniture back there after each use, as it is windy up there sometimes and it can blow away. Table clothes for the benches are in the hutch drawer in the dining room. Garbage: Please collect all garbage and place it in the shed. Please do not leave any garbage outside. Children's things: We have included a pack and play, diaper genie, strap on high chair, spill mats, bibs and some toys and books for your young ones. Please clean them well if used and store away under the stairs if not needed. Attractions: Forget Me Not Alpacas (2 min drive) is an alpaca farm that offers tours and a shop (only on Saturdays and must book in advance). They also offer Yoga with Alpacas. Check out their website to learn more. Golf: There are several public golf courses in the area. Cedarhurst Golf Club, Beaverton Golf Course and Pines of Georgina Golf Course. Book a tee time in advance. Ice Fishing: Lake Simcoe is famous for ice-fishing. Check out destinationontario .com or lakesimcoeoutdoors .com for information. Parks: Many parks in the area (Thorah and Holmes Point are on the water) and Sibbald Point Provincial Park (20 min. drive) has a lot to offer and also has water access.
