Old Piggery beautiful views. Dog friendly garden.

We converted the Old Piggery over 20 years ago, and have recently done a full refurbishment. It now has a cosy snug with a sofa as well as a lounge with far-reaching views. There is an ensuite bathroom and downstairs, a shower and toilet. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor with a king-sized, chunky farmhouse bed with an extremely comfortable mattress. The lounge area has a Laura Ashley sofa and snuggle chair positioned to take in a far-reaching views or a 43 inch TV if you prefer! The space The old piggery is a modern but cosy stone building converted from a pigsty! Now It has central heating and a combi boiler for water. The building has its own walled and fenced lawned garden safe for up to 2 medium sized dogs to play in. The views are far reaching across the valley where you can see beautiful sunsets. The king size chunky farmhouse bed is on a mezzanine floor up a carpeted staircase where there is a bathroom adjacent. There’s plenty storage for clothes and cases up there too. We live in the rural village of Soyland in Calderdale, located 0.9 miles uphill from the small village of Ripponden which offers a Co-Op and many choices of eating places such as pizza, curries, pub food and fish & chips. Just a short 10 minute walk from the house is a dog friendly country pub -The Beehive inn -serving local ales and a wide choice of good quality home-cooked food. The Alma inn, also serving food and dog friendly is approximately 30 minutes walk away. Guest access After parking the car walk along the front of my house towards the small gate then down a few steps. Stepping stones across the garden towards the model 🐷 then through the gate to a private fenced and walled large garden with Yorkshire stone patio. The terraced steps are well lit with string lighting. Other things to note We have 2 elderly, very friendly little dogs who are often playing out with Terry in our garden. (Not yours) If this troubles you they can be kept in. Ring me just before you arrive. In the Old Piggery we ask that dogs remain downstairs. We have a baby gate to close off the staircase. If you do wish your pet to sleep on the bed, please bring your own bedding as we have white cotton bedding which is notoriously difficult to get paw prints out of. We allow a maximum of two medium sized dogs. Sorry, but we don’t allow XL bullies or other dogs on dangerous dogs list. All dogs must be fully house trained. Please do not bring female dogs on heat as this is understandably distressing for our dogs as well as subsequent visitors dogs. In the unlikely event that you need to leave your dog alone for a short period please make sure that they are quiet you take responsibility for any damage they may cause. Our local pubs are both dog friendly. Local pubs are dog friendly. Many in Ripponden accept dogs.
