Unwind at this peaceful, cozy beachfront bungalow located on the Delaware Bay in Dover, DE. Unplug + experience paradise on the bay while taking long walks over miles of beach nature preserves. Our cozy home is well appointed with many amenities & outdoor living spaces, including a wrap-around screened porch, an outdoor dining table + sofas, a firepit with chairs. Amenities include a Blackstone grill, outdoor shower /foot bath, kayaks, hammock, washer and dryer, Nespresso coffee, and more. The space This newly renovated bungalow is 550 Sq ft and has a wrap around porch that is 450 sq ft. The maximum # of people at all times is 4 as The house if too small to accommodate more. It's well designed with many amenities. There is an HVAC unit in the living room that keeps the house very cool. The bedrooms have fans and we encourage opening windows for fresh air. The home Is located on the Delaware bay with only one house next to it. Swim at your own risk and there is no surfing on this beach. You can drive 45 minutes to Indian River Inlet where there is great surfing. Kitts Hummock is a wildlife sanctuary for horseshoe crabs and migratory shorebirds. It is a haven for wildlife, including eagle, osprey, stingray, turtles and more. You can surf fish directly in front of the home. Many fisherman crab and harvest oysters in the bay. It is NOT a place to swim like the ocean as sometimes it can be very mucky. The Delaware Bay is estuary (a body of water that is connected to both rivers and the ocean. ) The Delaware river flows into the bay mixing freshwater and saltwater together to form brackish water. Depending on the weather, the shoreline can be mucky and the water very choppy. The winds change rapidly on the bay. There is a major undertow. It is not a swimming beach. Also, depending on the wind, the bugs can be a nuisance. Please bring your favorite bug spray. There is prickly pear cactus on the bayside yard.
