National Forest cabin - secluded & updated!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway surrounded by hundreds of acres of the Allegheny National Forest; open to the public for hiking, walking and hunting!! 🦌 Small zip line for children and basketball hoop! ATV-friendly road; so feel free to bring those atvs! 3 minutes to West Hickory Sportsman Bar and the river! Firewood is provided but please be mindful of the amount used. The space Little Hickory is a 780 square foot oasis surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest! New ‼️ basketball hoop & zip line! *Firewood is provided but please be courteous and mindful of the amount used. We ask that guests limit to 8 pieces per night* Heat/AC - electric mini split system with wall unit downstairs and one upstairs, controlled by remotes Living room - features a couch, loveseat and power recliner. Fireplace is currently not being used. Please do not open it. Television - smart tv with DVD player and many DVDs available for use. No cable tv. *NO WIFI* but there is cell signal. Dining area - breakfast nook corner table with bench seating for 5. Kitchen - electric stove, full-sized refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, pots, pans, plates, silverware, utensils. Don't feel like doing many dishes? No worries, we have paper plates as well. Bathroom - shower only, no bathtub. Sensitive septic system so please do not flush anything besides provided toilet paper. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash in shower available for use if desired. Bedroom- up stairs with a railing on one side and open on the other. Please be mindful of this with young children. There is NO door to the bedroom. There are 6 beds (2 full size beds on one side and the other side has 2 bunk beds with fulls on the bottom and twins on the tops). There is also a futon that can fold out to be another full size bed. Enclosed porch - screens on the windows and a screen door. It is located off of the living area. There are string lights, seating and a small table in this area. You will also find 4 camp chairs which you can take and use around the fire ring outside. Outside - Huge fire ring, wooden picnic table. You will also find 4 camp chairs in the enclosed porch you may use around the fire pit! FIREWOOD: provided but please be courteous on the amount used. We ask that guests limit to 8 pieces per night. Extra firewood available for purchase locally! **4x4 recommended for fall and winter months!!** Guest access You will have the entire cabin to yourselves! There is a fire pit in the backyard and driveway with plenty of level parking. Shed will remained locked during your stay. Please NOTE: the culvert getting into the driveway can be a bit rough and lower vehicles may scrape. The road leading up to the cabin is a DIRT road with gravel and has a steep incline coming from West Hickory area. Please keep this in mind for travel/weather purposes. Other things to note Water is from a well with no treatment system in place. It has not been tested so in order to be safe, we suggest bathing in but we provide bottled water for drinking/cooking. Bottled water will be located under the kitchen sink and in the refrigerator. IMPORTANT ‼️ if you book our cabin, all guests agree to release of liability of personal injury. This includes the zip line and zip line platform and any other activities on our property. Use at your own risk! Please note zip line weight limit is 150lbs.
