The incredible Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Resort are at your disposal and you can access the private dock and kayaks in the summertime. This home is in close proximity to EVERYTHING in McHenry including the local marinas, Wisp Resort, white water rafting at ASCI, the grocery store, restaurants and more! For extra summer fun, we can arrange for you to have a rental boat or trampoline at the home with your stay (added costs). In the winter, we can assist with information on any skiing, snowboarding or tubing tickets you may need. Parking is a breeze, with space for up to four cars right on the property at no additional cost. Other things to note The short version - House Rules: *No smoking or drugs anywhere on the property *No pets allowed *NO parties, events, large gatherings or any loud noise. Quiet hours begin at 10pm *No more than 14 REGISTERED humans (adults AND Kids) *No confetti or anything taped to the walls (you will be charged for any paint damage or extra cleaning fees) *No climbing on deck rails or roof *Children MUST be supervised at all times The long version: ✔ There is absolutely NO SMOKING/Vaping/ 420/ ON THE PREMISES. A remediation/cleaning fine is assessed if there are any cigarette butts on the property or there is smoke/vape/420 smell indoors. ✔ We provide a very generous starter kit containing toiletries, soaps, paper products and trash bags. ✔ To access the dock, there is a staircase leading to a path with a moderate to steep incline. ✔ It's important to note that this home is situated on the lakefront, and engaging in any water-related activities carries inherent risks. We strongly recommend reading the rental agreement thoroughly to gain a comprehensive understanding of your responsibilities, release of liability and our policies concerning safety and liability. ✔ The road to the home is steep and curvy. All Wheel Drive / Four wheel drive cars are required in the winter months. ✔ We also provide a pellet grill at no extra charge for its use (unlike many places). We simply ask you to please leave it in decent condition to avoid a $50 cleaning fee. Thanks! ✔ Kindly refrain from taping anything to the walls to avoid damaging the paint and please do not plan to bring confetti into the home or you will be charged an extra cleaning fee if found in the carpets or on furniture. ✔ Deep Creek Lake boasts a wealth of captivating wildlife. Don't be surprised if you spot the occasional fox or bear near our home. If you're lucky, you might even witness the occasional groundhog, raccoon, or opossum quietly making their way around the hillside. ✔ You may also encounter smaller, less charming wildlife, specifically mice and insects. Given the mountainous surroundings, it's not uncommon for mice or spiders to find their way indoors. If you happen to notice any mice or their droppings within the house, please inform us promptly. Additionally, if you leave screen doors open, please expect the critters will find their way inside! ✔ In addition, it's essential to be mindful of how you manage your trash. Improper disposal, such as leaving trash un-bagged or overflowing, can attract ants and house flies. To prevent this, make sure to place all trash in securely tied bags and take to the designated dumpster as outlined in the house manual. ✔ Early checkin and late check out is available, based on availability and with agreement 1 week or more prior to your stay. The charge is $50/hour before 4pm checkin and after 10am checkout. ✔ All reservations require a signed rental agreement and security deposit credit card "hold" on our reservation system.
