Our Barndominium is a new build with "The Loft" just being completed. "The Loft" is located in the upper area of the Barndominum. Access is gained by private exterior stairs and entrance. Once inside you will instantly feel a warm welcome. "The Loft" is decorated with a farmhouse feel and many special meaningful touches. An old paint ladder hangs on the wall from my Grandfathers painting business. The green industrial light in the dining area once hung in the Canton Paper Mill (just recently closed). The separate bedroom with iron bed and antique glass chandelier create a romantic and peaceful retreat. The bathroom has a large repurposed vanity painted green and window that overlooks the field. Other features include a full kitchen separate coffee bar area, living room with large couch and TV. A patio area is located at the bottom of the exterior stairs. An antique glider and cafe table offer a great place to enjoy breakfast while overlooking the field and woods. The Barndominum houses two rental units --"The Loft" and "The Mod" (each with separate entrances, no common walls , no common exterior amenities ). Both together would be a great couples retreat!! The Barndominium also houses tools, tractors, office and other items to maintain land which are off limits to guests. Welcome to Saluda which is perched at the top of the steepest railroad grade in the US. Here you will find the sweetest small town which is buffered by 18000 acres of Green river Gamelands and the Greenville watershed. This small town is going to make you smile and relax. However if you need some adventure head to the Green River adventures for tubing, hiking, or The Gorge for zip-lining. Kayaking is within 5 minutes. Rock Creek Biking (home to the Gravity MTB National Championship) is located in nearby Zirconia. Other interest might include Biltmore Estates (36 miles to Asheville) or the Tryon Equestrian is within 25 miles. Wineries, Breweries and U pick farms are abundant in the Henderson County area. So much to see and do or just enjoy your stay at "The Loft" The Barndominum is located on a private acerage site. Our personal home is located on the site however is not near the Barndominium. We can be available if needed however we honor your stay and privacy.
