Eagle Lake is a small community of outdoor loving people of all ages. Most of our neighbors are retired and live here full time. Others come weekends or just to fish and get away for a bit. Hunters come in the fall to be near hunting camps close by. Families boat, fish and ski year round on days when weather is favorable. There’s a small country store with assorted goods, milk, bread, gas etc. Vicksburg is near for side trips and necessities. The national park there is a lovely drive and has Civil War exhibits. Vicksburg downtown has many fun restaurants, a brewery, unique shops and museums plus the tour homes open to the public. The area is mainly agricultural and fields of crops line the road on the drive to the lake. Vicksburg is about 30 minutes away for side trips. There’s a convenience store with necessities a short distance down the road but you may want to shop for groceries and such before leaving a larger town. They have fishing supplies, propane, and gas also. Also a short order menu for breakfast and lunch that’s reasonable and good.
