Property features: a 16’x36’ concrete pavilion with built in bbq/pig roaster, beautiful eat-in screen porch, firepit, large deck, extra refrigerator for overflow storage, living room wall opens with a screen to the outdoors, 8 miles to Hammondsport on Keuka Lake, 4 miles to Waneta/Lamoka Lakes and 15 to Seneca Lake and Watkins Glen. This is a great place for entertaining smaller events such as family reunions, but also cozy enough for your immediate family or a romantic getaway. Bedroom 1 has 4 bunk beds (2 full, 2 twin), bedroom 2 has 2 queen size beds (bunk style), and the sleeping loft has 2 queen size beds and 1 twin. The sleeping loft has 4.5’ ceilings and is spacious and cozy – perfect for children or everyone able to climb the ladder steps. When the weather is warm open up the living room wall and use the screen wall to let the outdoors inside. Lounge on the screen porch or deck overlooking beautiful NY forest. When the weather is chilly cuddle up on the sofa in front of the wood stove with a book and a glass of local wine. If you’re outdoor people you’ll enjoy exploring all of the local state lands near the property. While enjoying the quiet country life you will also enjoy the amenities such as heat, air conditioning, electricity, NO WI-FI but great 4G internet and cell service for Verizon and AT&T users (Sprint and TMobile have very limited service), flat screen TV with VCR and DVD player (no cable, but tons of classic and entertaining movies to choose from), shower, full kitchen, comfy furniture, coffee maker as well as a single serve Keurig machine. Dishes and linens provided. There are no laundry facilities at the cabin but there are laundromats in Hammondsport and Watkins Glen. If there is still firewood in the stack you’re welcome to it, but availability is not guaranteed. Pet friendly for a maximum of 2 pets per stay. We do not have the facilities so we do not allow RV’s on site. Hosts readily available via text or phone. Truly a country cabin - located about a mile and a half down a well-maintained gravel road. This cabin is only 10 minutes from Hammondsport which is known for their beautiful downtown shops & restaurants, lake access and amazing vineyards. We are also only 20-25 minutes from Watkins Glen International Speedway, Watkins Glen State Park and the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Mapping apps may send you on some pretty crazy roads. The best/cleanest route to the property is coming from Hammondsport. Route is provided under Directions
