Hermits House

Simple, comfortable relaxation. Everything you need to rest. A great base for nature and culture. Welcome to Jan and Jeanneke. In our spacious, sheltered garden, at a good distance from our house, is our Hermits House, a tiny house. Next to the cottage is a separate washroom. This space consists of a (warm) outdoor shower and a compost toilet. The garden around the Hermits House is at your disposal. Placing a tent at the cottage is possible. The space The cottage itself has a full glass front, which can be fully opened. You enter the living room/bedroom directly through the front door. The bed can be folded up to create more living space indoors during the day. The kitchen area has a small fridge, a microwave, a single induction cooktop, a coffee machine and a kettle. Of course, there are also some pans, dishes and cutlery. Behind the kitchen, there is storage space. The house is equipped with water and electricity. The garden around the Hermits House is at your disposal. In good weather, you can sit outside. On our property, there is parking space and the possibility to store (and charge) your bicycles. After experiencing the charm of Salland, it is nice to retreat to this retreat. The cottage is best in spring, summer and early autumn. There is no heating, which is why we prefer not to rent out in winter. We do not offer breakfast. Honesty requires us to say that a new neighborhood is currently being built around our garden: the Olstergaard. The Olstergaard is a sustainable, circular and nature-inclusive residential area. The nuisance is very limited in our experience. Guest access You can park your car or bicycle in the paved yard of our farmhouse. A path from the yard leads to the back of the garden at the Hermits House. Other things to note The residence is located on the southern edge of Olst. Olst is located on the eastern bank of the IJssel between Deventer and Zwolle. We live near the Olstergaard (sustainable, ecological neighborhood) and the Aardehuiswijk (known from television) You can hike and bike to your heart's content in this area. Salland is a beautiful part of the Netherlands with the floodplains, forests, estates and a National Park. The Duursche Waarden are nearby. You can also cross the IJssel by ferry. Soon you can enjoy the Veluwerand. The historic Hanseatic cities of Deventer and Zwolle are also nearby. Deventer is 30 minutes by bike, 10 minutes by car and 5 minutes by train. The train station is a maximum of 15 minutes' walk away. Both cities are beautiful and have a lot to offer. In the city center of Olst, you will find various eateries, bakeries, drugstores and supermarkets.
