The cottage is a complete rebuild, top- of- the-line appliances, and turn- of- the- century style and charm. On the outside it's just a cute cottage, but when you step inside, it looks all brand new, with extra lighting, all new appliances, skylight windows, gleaming white marbled floor, and granite countertops. The bathroom has a large custom-made glass tiled Mediterranean style tub, with an overhead "rain shower", and two additional shower heads at the other end of the deep, tiled, rectangular tub. . And if you look up you can see the sky above. It is a unique and special space. The queen bed has a new pillowtop memory foam mattress. There is also a futon sofabed that converts to a queen-size bed. Huge flat screen TV, a well stocked kitchen, including seasonings, olive oil, butter, a continental breakfast, and a fruit bowl of fresh fruit, snacks, cold soft drinks, and ice cream treats in the freezer. I love living on the Italian Hill, with it's old- world atmosphere. When walking outdoors, the aromas from the restaurants are intoxicating. The people are friendly, energetic, and fun loving. And when you hear them talking Italian, it's like you're in Italy. You can walk to several great restaurants within a few minutes. Antonino's, one short block on Macklind, is a great Italian restaurant/sports bar. Mama's is 4 doors down the street. Also Zia's and Rose of the Hill are right here on Edwards, along with the Missouri Bakery, wow! Many sandwich shops, bakeries, doughnut shops, grocers, specialty herbs stores, & pubs and tavernas, all within walking distance. Less than 10 minutes away is the zoo, botanical gardens, science center, tower grove park and the lovely new Imo Piazza is only 2 short blocks away. The Cottage is all-electric, new appliances, recently rebuilt. I live across the yard in the front house, and am available by text or phone at all times, & you may knock on my back door also. I respect your privacy, and this is a pretty quiet, friendly neighborhood. Many Italian restaurants, great service, the food is world class, old family recipes.
