Nestled beside two towering maples, with a view of the bush from the back porch, Knotty Gnome Cabin is the perfect glamping experience. Located on a horseshoe of cottages, the cabin has the feel of the woods while just a 5-minute drive from the lake town of Goderich. Enjoy the simplicity of a one-room cabin or bask at Sunset Beach, hike Point Farms Provincial Park, explore historic Goderich or canoe the Maitland River. Simple, cute, rustic, easy...that's Knotty Gnome. The space Knotty Gnome is a one-room pine cabin, carefully crafted by the Amish. The cabin features a comfortable queen bed, a simple kitchenette with a toaster oven plus a barbeque and firepit for outdoor cooking. Everything is designed for simple glamping comfort with two deep chairs and an ottoman, a round kitchen table for eating/games/office work plus a woodstove for cool nights. A ceiling fan and additional fans will keep you cool in summer. There is electricity but no wifi to keep the cabin vibe real. You will need to bring a cooler with ice to keep your food and drinks cool. The cabin has a loft for an older child or adult to stay. It is accessible via a steep ladder so they would need to be comfortable getting up and down it. Guest access Knotty Gnome has its own section of a bush-side lot and your front and backyard are your own. A privacy fence separates you from the cottage next door, which is rented to guests. They have their space and you have yours. You may see or hear the neighbours as this is a cottage community. The bush is gorgeous and frames the cabin. It belongs to the neighbour and is therefore private. Other things to note Simple but with amenities, the cabin is an ideal stay if you want to have a wood-side experience without being immersed in the woods. A modern outhouse is located beside the cabin for showering, washing dishes and going to the bathroom. It is private and lit with solar lights. We have a lamp for additional lighting. We also have a cottage so if you want to vacation with family, inquire about renting both!
