Perfectly positioned for exploring West Cork, The Loft is ideal whether you’re seeking outdoor adventure or a quiet retreat from the world. The space A calming presence greets you as you step inside The Loft. The open-plan living space is light and airy, owing to its double height and the windows overlooking its garden and the rolling hills beyond. This unique hideaway has been thoughtfully crafted for two, with every comfort provided. Take a seat on the sofa with a soothing glass of red and let time pass you by. Or light the wood-burning stove and get cosy during the cooler months. A king-size bed on the mezzanine promises a restful night's sleep. Enjoy long lazy mornings watching your favourite show on the smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, induction hob, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, and everything you’ll need to rustle up an intimate dinner for two. The contemporary shower room downstairs with luxury Handmade Irish Soap Co products (shampoo, shower gel & conditioner) is the perfect spot to freshen up after a day exploring West Cork. Outdoors As the sun rises over West Cork, step outside and soak up the day's first rays in the magical peace and serenity of the garden. Enjoy the birdsong along with a fresh coffee and treat your special someone to breakfast al fresco. After you have explored all that West Cork has to offer, return to your peaceful paradise and enjoy the fire pit and our new Eco chairs. Gaze at the stars above and enjoy romantic fireside moments whilst reminiscing on the day's adventures… pure bliss! Guest access You will have free parking alongside the Loft, your own front garden with outdoor furniture and a fire pit so you can while away some time listening to birdsong or simply taking in the fresh West Cork air. Our home is adjacent to The Loft and we park in the same space and enjoy the outdoor spaces in the yard. Other things to note If you love the water then bring your kayak, canoe, paddle board and swimsuit as The Loft is just a few minutes drive to Lough Hyne and the sea. Wild swimming enthusiasts will be spoiled for choice with beaches and lake swimming options close by. The village of Baltimore is an 8-minute drive away. Foodies will be spoiled for choice. Reserve a table in Dede at The Custom House, which has been awarded two Michelin stars or enjoy more casual dining at its sister restaurant, Baba'de which has been awarded a Bib Gourmand. Lots of other dining options are also available at The Algier's Inn, Casey's Hotel, Rolf's Country House, and Jacob's Hotel, which is down by the waterfront. The Loft is located beside a working farm yard. Although we don't farm ourselves there may be tractors and farm animals around the farm yard on occasion.
