West Coast Seaside Getaway is a safe & scenic, self catering venue with a WOW factor nestled in the Grotto Bay Private Nature Reserve. PLEASE NOTE: West Coast Seaside Getaway is great for groups and priced pp. The number of bedrooms allocated are based on the number of guests booked. The space The accommodation consists of 6 rustic West Coast style bedrooms with queen size beds, 5 with en-suite bathrooms, the cozy couples room has a private bathroom; 2 of these bedrooms have an additional bunk bed but separate sleeping areas, 1 has an additional single bed, also separate sleeping area; 11 beds in total. 4 of these bedrooms are located on the second floor (stairs up); one has excellent sea views, the other three have partial sea view from the window. The West patio offers a stunning uninterrupted ocean view with breathtaking sunsets, undercover braai facilities and seating areas. The North deck / winter deck is well protected from the wind and has beautiful sea view. Relaxing on the South-West / summer deck bench you are sitting in the midst of Fynbos and can enjoy your first morning coffee while listening to the birds and watching the waves beating against the rocks. An open large fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with a flat screen TV (firestick) with uninterrupted sea views and a closed fire place offer cozy corners and seating areas to chat, read, watch the sea and relax. PLEASE NOTE: West Coast Seaside Getaway is great for groups and priced pp. The number of bedrooms allocated are based on the number of guests booked. If there are more than 8 guests, tables and chairs must be placed together so that everyone can sit around a dining table. Guest access The guests have access to the the seaside walks leading to the pebble beach (4 min walk) & sandy beach (10 min walk) of the stunning Private Nature Reserve. Other things to note Grotto Bay is a Private Nature Reserve and suitable for relaxation, holiday and gatherings with family & friends but not for loud parties with music, excessive alcohol or drugs as guests are kindly asked to be mindful of noise, especially after 21h30. The Reserve has no shops (next SPAR supermarket in Yzerfontein, 20 min drive, or Table Bay Mall, 25 min drive) and there are rules that are be observed (no open fire, no cigarette butts into the bush, only walk on designated paths etc.) as well as important house rules (no objects, sanitary pads, syringes to be thrown into the toilet => septic tanks; no white towels to be taken to the beach; no single objects/pieces to be thrown into the bin outside but into provided bin bags etc.) We thank you in advance for your understanding. The rooms are sound sensitive. The Wifi still works during 2 hours load shedding. Some LED lights are provided. No dogs are allowed.
