Aragon Hunting Lodge

A hunter's paradise in NM Elk Hunting Unit 16D. This 1,680 square foot cabin built from 12-inch logs sleeps up to 9. The ambiance is fascinating - fabulous views through large windows across green meadows and pine forests. From 10x40 covered porch listen to the Tularosa Creek running by the cabin year-round. A great quiet get-away where you can almost touch the stars and may see elk walking outside the window. There is wildlife and nature everywhere with direct access to the Gila Wilderness. The space This property has 3 bedrooms. A master with with a queen bed and a master bath with a shower and a tub downstairs. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with double beds, and a lovely loft looking down into the living area which has a futon that makes into a double bed. Upstairs has a second full bath with a shower. In the downstairs living area there is thrid bath - it is a 1/2 bath near the kitchen. There is a sofa in the living area that makes into a queen size bed. It is furnished with fairly new appliances, including a refrigerator, dishwasher, nice gas stove and washer and dryer. The kitchen is furnished with nice dishes, utensils and accessories. Guest access Everything upstairs is accessable and usable. There is a small container in the refrigerator with the owners condiments. You are free to use if needed, just leave them when you are finished. Also in the master bath closet is a small container of standard items that is the owners. In the front closet are a few jackets in the corner that belong to the owner, and in the sider entry cabinet are some gloves that belong to the owner. In the pantry are items that belong to the owner, they are easily identified. Other things to note We are fairly remote, in between two mountain ranges, the Gila Wilderness and the Apache Forest. The closest grocery area is about 7 miles away at Apache Creek and is simply a convenience store. The nearest gas station is in Reserve - about 20 miles to the west or in Datil -50 miles to the Northeast.
