This is important because my dogs have a knack for opening doors, and I wouldn't want them to be outside unattended. Lately, there have been numerous reported cases of viruses affecting dogs, particularly outside of my property. Solar Power System & Daytime Electricity Use To reduce the impact of these power outages, we have installed a solar power system with battery storage, which currently supplies about 50% of our electricity needs. The system is still undergoing monitoring and adjustments to improve performance. Please keep in mind: * Air Conditioning: * You may use the air conditioner during the day if there is enough sunlight, but please keep the temperature set between 23°C–24°C to avoid overloading the system. * Please turn off the AC when leaving your room. * Water Heaters: * During the day while using solar power, the water heaters are turned off to conserve energy. * We turn them back on after 5:30 PM, once the battery levels have stabilized. * Battery Backup: * At night during blackouts, only electric fans will be available to conserve power for essential needs. 2. Energy Conservation & Appliance Use To help our solar system operate efficiently and safely, we kindly request the following: * Unplug any chargers, computers, batteries, and other electronic devices when not in use or when leaving the villa. * Limit the use of high-power appliances, such as water heaters, especially during cloudy weather or outages. * Keep the emergency light plugged in so it's always ready in case of blackout. * Avoid using candles or any open flames to prevent accidents. * Ensure fire extinguishers are easily accessible at all times. * Turn off the heater immediately after use. EARLY START we wanted to let you know that people are waking up early here in Siargao due to surfing, so you may hear some noises from outside. To ensure your comfort, we are providing you with earplugs just in case you would like a more rest full night.
