Bedroom 4 (All rates include Le petit-déjeuner): Nestled in the vineyards 10 minutes from Bergerac - Château Le Repos is a newly restored B&B set in 12 acres of countryside and woodland. With 4 en-suite bedrooms, there's plenty of opportunity to relax with a communal lounge filled with antiquities, a pretty courtyard, swimming pool, L'Orangerie and outdoor kitchen. Guests can walk to nearby vineyards, Michelin Star restaurant La Tour de Vents, bistrots and a traditional boulangerie. The space This calming bedroom also has an adjoining little room with a double pull-out bed, perfect for children. There is also a large en-suite bathroom and sitting area. The Old Kitchen The Old Kitchen is situated in one of the oldest parts of the château down the elegantly restored staircase. Here there is a communal living area which has a fridge/freezer for guests to use. There is also a coffee machine, kettle and armoire with crockery and cutlery which can be used down by the pool. There is also a seating area, perfect for reading and relaxing. From here there is access to the Courtyard and swimming pool area. Le petit-déjeuner Included in the room fee is a traditional French petit-déjeuner of freshly baked pastries, orange juice, coffee and fruit. Le petit-déjeuner is provided in a picnic basket and can be taken to enjoy in the L'Orangerie, Courtyard or bedroom. The Courtyard A charming Courtyard with rambling roses and bistrot-style seating - perfect for relaxing with breakfast coffee, or a glass of local wine in the afternoon. The drive is the ideal spot for a game of Pétanque. The Swimming Pool The brand new saltwater, heated pool is 12 metre long and has a shallow end which is great for children. There are also elegant sungloungers and parasols. Poolside Next to the swimming pool is an outdoor kitchen featuring a BBQ, pizza oven and plancha for guests to use and enjoy. There is also an outdoor seating area with low sofas and coffee table. L'Orangerie One of the oldest buildings on the property, L'Orangerie is a unique, pared-back space with large windows overlooking the vines. There is a dining table which can seat 8 and bistrot-style seating - a beautiful spot for breakfast. The Local Area Situated in the bucolic countryside - the château is surrounded by vineyards and is a stones-throw from the 16th Century Renaissance Château de Montbazillac. The area is rich with wine makers and the hosts can help to arrange tastings at local vineyards. At the top of a hill, surrounded by the Bergerac vineyards, next to the ruins of a windmill is La Tour des Vents. With unforgettable views, this opulent restaurant promotes local produce of the region, prepared to the highest standard. For more relaxed dining, in Pomport is Le Bistrot du Clocher. With pretty views of the church - the restaurant offers classic French dishes and local wine. For lunch, we recommend La maison Vari - set in a pretty garden - Vari offers delicious salads with regional ingredients. You can also pick up a bottle of their delicious wine in the boutique. Bergerac centre and airport: 10 mins by car. Bordeaux: 1 hour 20 by train or car. Markets and brocantes: We will happily provide information on our favourite local markets and antiques fairs. Guest access A key will be provided for each bedroom. Our home is on the ground floor of the Chateau - so we will be on hand to help with any questions during your stay.
