Your summer get-away is perfect at The Butterfly Cottage on Honey Lake! Relax and enjoy the serenity of the lake and all the natural beauty of the season! This is a cozy cottage on Honey Lake, just 4 miles from downtown Burlington and 13 miles from Lake Geneva. Alpine Valley for concerts and skiing, fishing on Honey Lake or nearby Browns Lake as well as shopping in Lake Geneva are the highlights of the area! There are hiking/walking trails all around as well as rustic roads to explore. The space There is a large bedroom and sleeper sofa on the lower level, with a second bedroom there as well. There is one small bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed. The large main bedroom on the lower level has a king-size bed AND a double bed sleeper sofa. There are two full bathrooms (one on the main floor and one on the lower level) a stackable washer /dryer, a full kitchen, family room and dining/game room that can double as an office. The exterior has a large deck with outdoor seating and dining as well as a grill and Adirondack chairs by the edge of the lake, around the fire pit. The backyard is great for yard games like corn hole (bags) or just relaxing, watching people go by in their kayaks in the warm months and ice fishing in the winter. There are 3 kayaks and fishing poles on the property for your enjoyment as well. Guest access Entire home Other things to note This is a very shallow lake and motorized boats are not permitted. We have 2 kayaks that you are welcome to use. This is more of a fishing, kayaking lake than a swimming lake since it is shallow and can be murky. Fishing is great and lots of people kayak, it’s just that swimming tends to be better at the end of the street where there is a small beach.
