Château de Paraize

A wonderful stay at Château de Paraize: Stay in the French countryside with beautiful views of the horses in the fields. The river Allier is within walking distance, enjoy beautiful nature, old towns, wine estates, markets with good food or flea markets. Or barbecue with us at Paraize, participate in a wine tasting in the old wine cellar by candlelight, or just enjoy the campfire. The space You will stay in our tastefully restored maison de gardien on the estate of Château de Paraize. The house has 4 bedrooms with double beds, two upstairs and two downstairs, and therefore can accommodate 8 people. There are 2 bathrooms, one of which is accessible from the outside, a cozy kitchen with all amenities and a spacious living room with an attractive wood stove. Of course, there is also central heating. Outside, there are gardens at the front and back of the house, and there is a large covered private terrace with barbecue and lounge area. You can use the large swimming pool. There is a view of the castle as well as the beautiful countryside around it, and we regularly bring a basket of fresh organic vegetables and fruits from the castle vegetable garden on request. Guest access Guests can use the entire maison de gardien, the garden in front and the garden behind. They also have access to the covered terrace, the swimming pool, the parking spaces and the hiking trails on the grounds. Other things to note Château de Paraize is originally an old 13th century Bourbonnaise seigneurie (self-sufficient domain) that we want to recreate in the most authentic atmosphere possible. This means, among other things, that restoration work sometimes takes place inside the castle itself, that the vegetable garden, orchard, small vineyard and herb gardens are restored to their former glory and that all kinds of farm animals walk around.
