Château de Paraize

A wonderful stay at Château de Paraize: peace, space, nature. Staying in the French countryside with beautiful views of the horses in the fields. The river Allier is within walking distance, enjoy beautiful nature, old towns, wine estates, markets with good food or flea markets. Or bbq with us at Paraize itself, participate in a wine tasting in the old wine cellar by candlelight, or just enjoy the campfire. The space You will stay in our attractively restored maison de gardien on the domain of Château de Paraize. The house has 4 bedrooms with double beds, two upstairs and two downstairs and thus offers space for 8 people. There are 2 bathrooms, a cozy kitchen with all amenities and a spacious living room with attractive wood stove. Of course there is also central heating. Outside there are gardens at the front and back of the house and there is a large covered private terrace with barbeque and lounge area. You can use the swimming pool. There is a view of the castle as well as the beautiful meadows around and we regularly bring a basket of fresh organic fruit and vegetables from the castle vegetable garden on request,subject to availability. Guest access Guests can use the entire maison de gardien, the terrace in front and the garden behind it. Furthermore, they have access to the swimming pool, the parking spaces and the hiking trails on site. Other things to note Château de Paraize is originally an old 13th century Bourbonnaise seigneurie (self-sufficient domain) that we want to recreate in the most authentic atmosphere possible. This means, among other things, that restoration work sometimes takes place inside the castle itself, that the vegetable garden, orchard, small vineyard and herb gardens are restored and that all kinds of hereditary animals walk around.
