Welcome to Kabin on the Rocks! Discover our recently renovated modern French country hillside hunt cabin featuring two bedrooms and an inviting open-concept living area. Nestled amidst 200 acres of lush forest, our all-season Kabin offers breathtaking views and access to beautiful Davis Lake. Conveniently located just over 2 hours from Toronto, this is your home away from home. IMPORTANT NOTE 📣 : An all wheel drive or 4x4 is REQUIRED including winter tires winter months from December - March The space From the moment you drop the needle on the vinyl player, winter calm sets in — welcome to your cozy lakefront getaway. Warm up by the wood stove, soak in the saltwater hot tub under the stars, or gather around the stone fire pit. Whether you’re a couple, friends, or a small family, this is the perfect place to slow down and reconnect with nature. Winter Lakefront Setting The cabin sits just across Davis Lake, with a quiet road in between. Take the stone pathway or Ewles Drive to the private dock — peaceful and beautiful all winter long. Comfortable & Stylish Inside Enjoy radiant heated bathroom floors, a retro Iio fridge, Keurig coffee maker, an Endy mattress, and soft linens. Everything is set up for a cozy stay. Outdoor Winter Fun Snowshoe through the woods, go ice fishing on Davis Lake, explore snowy trails, or enjoy the stillness of winter. Sir Sam’s Ski / Ride Resort is 45 minutes away for skiing and snowboarding. Guest Favorites - Saltwater hot tub with hydrotherapy jets - 3-burner Napoleon BBQ - Wood burning stove - frozen lake and forest views that become a winter wonderland Modern Comforts Both bedrooms include A/C, heating, and USB ports. Pets are welcome for a $100 fee. Access & Parking A municipally maintained road leads to our short private road. It has a steep incline in winter, but you’ll find plenty of parking at the top — stay to the left of the exposed rock. 4x4 or all wheel drive required for winter months. Guest access Guests will have full access of the main floor and the entire outdoor property with exception of the red shed and bunkie. There is also no access to closets and loft area. ALL guests MUST agree and adhere to the hot tub waiver prior and agree to follow ALL house rules prior to booking. Other things to note PROVIDED: Almost everything you'll need, including: bedding, towels, kitchen pans/pots, utensils, dishes, soap Coffee maker, Keruig, pantry items like salt and pepper, olive oil and some condiments. BBQ with propane. EXTRA NOTE : the cabin is meticulously cleaned, but as part of being in nature and the forest, occasional bugs or spiders may appear. Thank you for understanding! BRING: Food, water, weather appropriate clothing, slippers in the winter for indoor use as the floors do get cold, your preferred footwear for hot tub use. Please bring firewood for the wood stove. Please bring mosquito/bug repellent as required for your stay during spring and summer months. Internet : While we do have WIFI/ satellite internet, given the remoteness of our area and our location, speed and internet connectivity can vary from day to day and at times be limited. Rogers and Bell towers are nearby and offer great data coverage/steady streaming should you want to remain connected, browse the web or watch your favourite shows from the comfort of the Kabin.
