County Road Cottage located in Ricardo, Texas

Take a break to unwind at this peaceful cottage located in the brush country of South Texas. If you’re looking to disconnect from your busy life, this a perfect, cozy spot to enjoy nature and the beautiful Texas sunsets. This cottage is located in Ricardo just a few minutes from historic, down town Kingsville and Baffin Bay, where you can do some downtown shopping, tour the famous King Ranch, visit the Texas A&M Kingsville University campus, or do some salt-water fishing. The space You’ll walk into a charming sitting room with a couch and two chairs, perfect for reading a book or relaxing. The quaint kitchen has a dining table that seats six. Refrigerator, sink, microwave, and toaster oven available for heating up food. Some dishes are also available. If you’d like to cook something, an electric skillet is available. The cozy bedroom has two beds…one Queen and one Full size, which will sleep four guests. A second living space has a smart tv, couch, and table and chairs. The bathroom has a tub and shower combo, sink, and toilet. The cottage has central air and heat with a couple of additional window ac units in the bedroom and in the second living space. There is a front porch and a back yard that is partially fenced. A bbq pit is available. Other things to note Since this cottage is located in the country and surrounded by brush, please be aware that you may see the occasional wildlife animal outside the home—opossum, dog, cat, skunk, cow, snake. It’s not common, but may happen. Depending on the time of year, insects outside, such as mosquitos or spiders may be visible and present . We recommend bringing bug spray if you plan to spend a lot of time outside. The cottage is clean and rodent free, but because of the structure of the property, you may hear the occasional sound in a wall due to an outside mouse, rat, squirrel, or bird. Though not common, we have had a couple of guests report hearing noise in the bathroom wall. It’s country living.
