It offers stunning views over Lake Como and makes an ideal base from which to explore the lake and beautiful countryside nearby. It offers easy access to many restaurants and other amenities. For convenience, there is also a restaurant/pizzeria on the ground floor. For guests who want to cook for themselves, Menaggio’s farmers market takes place on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. Here you will find the best local ingredients. Menaggio is charming and not as busy as some of the other towns on the lake. It has a lovely square with a wide choice of cafés, restaurants and shops. Guests can take a ferry from Menaggio (9-minute drive) to Varenna or on to Bellagio and spend a day in these famously beautiful towns. For visitors who are looking for more excitement, there is Lake Como Adventures (20-minute drive), for a wide range of activities including climbing, canyoning, hiking and skiing in the winter months. For something more relaxing, there is the Lido Menaggio (8 minutes) where for a fee visitors can enjoy swimming in the lake, or the swimming pool and sunbathe on one of the loungers.
